So here is my issue with all of you that say he is horrible at the management stuff....if he is so bad at it, and according to you it is soooooo IMPORTANT...then how is he winning all these games.

Maybe we win 82% IN SPITE of those things but might win 90%+ if he was better at those important little details. that's all some of us are saying.
Keep recruiting, conditioning, encouraging, disciplining, hiring, teaching, etc. AND manage and adjust better. Then we probably win another game each year. Wouldn't that be great!

It would be great to win that one more game a year...but it is readily apparent that being good at the other stuff Miles is great at is more important in the long run to winning 82% of your games.

Perhaps the reason he isn't good at those other things, is that he is so focused on the things that really matter...I can only guess at this.

CLM seems like the kind of guy who is always looking to improve at every part of his job. I believe that he is working to improve both his game and clock management.

But at the end of the day, his current level of football acumen has put him in the BCSNCG last year and one first down away from being in this years game.

So from my perspective, it's not like we need a complete overhaul...perhaps just a better bounce or two this year.

But great ones don't leave it to a better bounce, or a lucky break in their business.

I've been saying all along that we are not far away. No overhaul needed. Don't fire Les. There's no one out there markedly better anyway. No ONE! I just want Les to improve in offensive game planning and on- field management.
Then even the guys who want to fire him every week will have to shut up.
