You have to learn your drops, you have to read a defense faster in PA after turning your back to the defense to sell the handoff, making adjustments to adjusted defensive personelle.
Less short catch and run passes, and screens. Spread QBs get a lot of criticism because they don't run a game the same as a pro QB. You don't see spread QBs calling plays, most are looking at a placard on the sideline (so is the rest of the team). A lot of spread offenses work because of tempo, and keeping defenses on their heels.
Now am i saying what we are seeing out of LSU is complicated? NO. Is Brandaon harris calling plays, no, but he is also a sophomore.
I am also not saying poor style is better at a college level than Spread. there is a lot to be said about a plug and play system in a game with a huge amount of player turnover.

Why do we need an offense coordinator? Les runs the offense anyway.

Kyle Allen 2015 Stats
Brandon Harris 2015 Stats
Their stats are very close and Allen's receivers have not have had nearly the drops Harris's had.
