Disagree. The whole "mid-week games" are useless adage is weak. All games matter.

All games do matter but mid week games are more about getting your team right for the weekend series more than wins and losses. There are a lot of concerns on this team but still no need to panic until about halfway through SEC play.

You people really need to realize mid week games are pretty meaningless. The players don't really care and all the other teams are out to beat LSU

I couldn't disagree more. Cant use that as a excuse. The bats were non existing and we weren't sound in the field. Simple as that.

It's not an excuse. It's a fact. Show me one year where mid week games were the deciding factor to us getting into the postseason. The SEC is so stacked every year that yes mid week games are meaningless pre conference warm ups to get guys work. There is not a single season where LSU or any team for that matter has taken care of business(top 3) in league play and lost mid week games and those mid week games have determined their postseason position. You think if UNO were in the SEC and we played them on the weekend we would lose 2 of 3? With Lange,Poche,Walker?? LSU would mop the floor with them.

LSU doesn't have the bullpen right now to win out of the loser's bracket in a regional and it will be difficult in Omaha as well.

There is time for it to develop but on a 35 man roster with the loss of Cartwright and Norman, and the ineffectiveness of others, absence of McKay, that's a lot of pitching not being utilized.

Coastal Carolina did it. Fresno St did it a few years ago. It is possible. It's about guys stepping up at the right time. These guys will get better in the pen. A lot of baseball left to play

Im not saying they are a deciding factor in getting into the postseason. Im simply talking about being prepared to play every game. No we wouldn't have lost on the weekend with Lange and Poche. But you cant decide to hit the ball only when they are on the mound.

So if LSU goes 22-8 and win the SEC, you think these losses could keep them from getting a national seed? The answer is no these losses won't make a difference a in the end.

It will matter if we don't go 22-8 and win the SEC and we get a shitty regional placement. It could be the difference.

I disagree. These midweek games will not make a difference in seeding either way. For UNO yes, this win will help their chances of making the tournament.

This is a direct reflection of CPM. If the players don't care, it is on him. Because he doesn't really care that everybody wants to beat one of the best programs in the nation. This kind of attitude starts at the top and works its way down through the rest of the program. This type of attitude should never be tolerated. His attitude, like Miles, is a program killer. And that attitude is satisfaction.

Have you been watching the same baseball team as me. LSU has been top 3 in hitting in the SEC all year and that is with a top 10-15 SOS

So what I don't get is you throw our "best" mid week guy in zack Hess vs LA college instead of pitching him against UNO, it does two things: you can throw a plethora of pitcher like last night with Reynolds, Gilbert, Keil on Tuesday vs LA. Plus it gives them an extra day to rest should they be needed vs Georgia. The second is you throw Hess vs UNO the better team vs the better arm....

I agree. So far when they are on, they are killing the ball, Just would like to see a few more late inn runs with the relievers on the mound. And with runners in scoring position.

Just to be clear, no one, not one single person in the world care about mid week games. Especially mid week games, in front of ghosts, in extra innings in the cold. Not one player or coach gives a damn, not Skip, not Paul. They dont want to be there.

What evidence do you have of this, I see a ton of shifting line ups and pitching. I dont see any complacency. I see alot of fresh talent pouring in.

What do you see that suggests satisfaction with last years playoff disappointment?

Here we go. This same time last year; everyone was saying we wouldn't even get a regional.

Chill out. Lots of baseball to be played.
