unless it is PROVEN he started the fight. as far as i know, we do NOT know who the instigator(s) were. a man should be able to defend himself. as far as the kicking thing goes, i struggle with why that is even relevant. how about biting? pulling hair? i understand that defending oneself is allowed legally as long as necessary force is used. since no weapons were used, it must be determined if kicking was necessary force (if it's proven JJ did that) and that seems iffy to me. i know there's a lot of gray area in this and any other fight but if JJ is not proven the instigator then i hope he gets less severe punishment (suspension, etc). JJ has never been in trouble before and i think he deserves some benefit of doubt, certainly until he's had his day in court.

because the video shows a 2nd degree assault (a felony) being committed.

Sorry, the police must enforce the law.

because kicking someone in the head when they are on the ground is a bitch move. I'm sure the fight was over once he was knocked to the ground, what was the purpose of the kick and why to the head?

According to the paysites its seems that everyone in the LSU football offices would be SHOCKED if JJ is arrested.

You are in a *fight*. This person has already *allegedly* injured a teammate, why give him the opportunity to hurt you are a teammate. Its a bar fight. There are no bitch moves.

I think if the rumor below is true about Andrew than Andrew is to blame.

1.) He was harassing his ex in the bar and was told to leave.
2.) He waited outside with friends for the LSU players with the intent/want to fight.

You're such a phoney self-righteous prick. I really thought many of you guys' online personalities were just a sctick. You really are this big of an a-hole. Kids' lives are involved here. This is bigger than your frickin JLee obsession.

whoa. i was not aware that the guy was kicked in the head (i've also heard back and shoulder) and i was not aware that the fight was over. if you are correct about that then i agree that more than necessary force was used; if you are mistaken, then.............

If that video is real, the guy being kicked is on the ground in the fetal position.

The law thinks differently I'm afraid. Bottomline for me is JJ should be gone from the team and arrested for second degree asaault for kicking somebody in the face if he did it. For one, that could kill a friggin' person and that's why the law is there dude.

If the cops don't have evidence he kicked the guy in the face then we should all just move on.

I don't know if it was over for sure, but if I was fighting football players and I got beat to the ground I would probably feel like its over. I just don't see kicking someone in the head as being ok unless they had a weapon then all bets are off.

Edit: I'm not a JJ fan but this is not how I wanted him to go down. I would have rather his play on the field either be his redemption or his downfall.

So you think a kick = 2nd degree assault? You don't know that the injury was caused by the kick if the guy on the ground was knocked down by someone else.
