Tedford coaching Mett and an offense that offers all the necessary elements run by almost every team in America. Our play book has to have more than 6 running plays and four pass plays. No matter how well the OL or QB plays. Maybe it would help our kids to felt the offensive confidence we saw in the Cotton Bowl.

Mett is going to be a lot better next season. People need to get off his back. Was improving rapidly at the end of this season. Just a little off on his deep throws. He's got some talent. Mett continues to improve and will be the starter next season.

He needs more air on his deep throws. For the life of me, I can't see how this isn't a problem the coaching staff can't fix. All he needs is a half second more of arc.

I think there will be a lot of competition at the spot next year between Randall Mett and Rivers...but even if Mett wins the job, which im sure he will..we will see a lot of Randall

A 2 qb system with 2 different style of qbs means your offense has no identity, which in turn seems to be a lot of the problem the last few years. But we still continue to recruit both types of qbs

sec coach's are gonna t off on Mett's immobility we need a change of pace qb.

He was damn near perfect when our OLine decided to give a frick. We don't need a mobile QB...just one that knows how to use his feet and step up in the pocket.

Who is Bama's change of pace QB? They don't have one now and haven't had one in any of their NC's. That NC stands for National Championship. Don't think Mett's and AJ's 40 times are much different either. ONE well coached QB in a MODERN offense is all you need.

This is correct and this thread is ridiculous. It's laughable to think that the answer to our offensive woes is a mobile quarterback.

God you idiots were screaming when bolden transfered that Miles got his JJ to ruin this team. Any black qb we are interested in comes a long with oh not another running qb. Miles is going to force feed us the option.

This fan base is jekyll and hyde and wil never be happy.

Oh and yes the most popular player will always be the back up qb.

It won't matter who plays QB or how many we have until we get someone who can coach up an offense.

Currently a duel threat guy gives you more opportunity for success. But, our biggest need is for a good offensive COACH.

Right... which explains the riff in the fan base since 08.

Im actually down for a qb that can move, not necessarily "dual threat." Flynn, Mauck and RP werent statues, they all were important to LSU wining 2 bcs championships.

What LSU needs is one good passer that can actually move out of harms way.

why would we pick up Brissett? we got a tall pocket passer on the way in Rettig, and another shorter one in Jennings on the way. wish we'd gotten him straight outta HS, but oh well.

I think he has improved too but his pocket presence is horrible which needs 100% improvement by next summer.
