Actually it's a well known dude from Nola.... Same guy who did 2009 French Quarter fest poster, it's best selling to date.

But yes a child painted it.

I believe Choctaw is referring to the FQ Fest piece. Even it's enhanced from the original to make it better. And yes, I'm an artist. I'm not going to dis on your commissioned piece as others here have, however yours looks like the artist may have rushed the job. I think the artist's style would work better with a more recent color photo of Tiger Stadium.....just my opinion. The only thing that truly matters is that you're happy with the piece.

I'll file your input in the I don't give a frick category.....and that French Quarter isn't enhanced.... He was commissioned to recreate that print.... Ive seen the real piece....

Secondly, I didn't want a "new" tiger stadium photo, I wanted that black and white converted to his color style....

Have a nice day.

I was being nice...but hey, if you truly want to go there, so be it. Don't post your commissioned art here and get pissed when the comments don't go they way you had wished.

Why recreate it if the original was so great? You should ask him to recreate yours.

....file this, too.

Well, Mr artist they didn't sell the original piece so you could have gotten a manufactured print.... Or a commissioned piece recreating the "original. " That is unless you wanted to pay 10k. Original sits in a bar in San Francisco, I think.

I posted it on tigerdroppings hoping tiger fans would appreciate a cool piece.... I didn't intend for a bunch of Internet, art officiandos to tell me how poorly it was done.

But I digress, I'll let this thread die and thank all the art moguls for their inspired input.
