They should walk around the yard, holding a Bama DL's pocket.

I was embarrassed for them.

I felt bad for Harris and Fournette. They had no chance

I mean, LSU could win out. . .average 700 yards rushing, and the OL will still not get their manhood back.

Grimes should have a press conference to explain what happened.

Let's hope the two freshmen, Teuhema and Clapp, who had been so impressive before, learn from this & see what it takes to get better. I would sincerely hope we are not saying similar things about LSU's OL one year from now following the Bama game.

Maybe Grimes needs to open up the competition among the OL a bit--wonder if some of these guys were a bit complacent, and need to be pushed a bit to maintain their starting jobs.

The tackles were arguably worse.

Some guys in the trenches were reading press clippings. Bama DL were playing possessed and mad as h()d(. Somebody put them under hypnosis and gave mental suggestions that LSU OL had stolen their lunch money in a previous life:).

because of Miles, Grimes, and Cameron. Those 3 guys should bench themselves.

Guards got drove. Yes you are correct but the biggest fail was at the hands of the tight ends not moving the edge. The edge is where Leonard makes his money tbh and it wasn't there when he would run after the original hole was stopped. I wish we could have run screens against that pass rush to get them to slow down but we just kept running at them and linebackers were driving our tight ends back into there asses. Dillon Gordon missed dearly Saturday

Majority, but they rotate in a ton of young guys. Their front 7 won't be as good next year but they'll still be dominant.

I couldn't get over how bad Pocic looked. I honestly thought you could make an argument for him as the best Oline man in the country and A'Shawn and Reed owned him.

I never saw them as being that great of a line.

LSU has thrived against teams with a good pass rush by playing max protect in many passing instances. We went to an unbalanced look early in the game and put both Hawkins and Colin Jeter on the right hand side of the line in the formation.

Harris sees an unblocked defender off the edge flashing into his view and the result is disruption and a busted play. It also kept him from doing a lot via scrambling.

When you looked at the replay, Jeter did not even try blocking him. He has done an extremely poor job in that area of the game in general this year.

If our ability as an offense to be a physical run blocking and adequate pass pro team along the offensive front requires us to play with a 300 pound Tight End to add an extra tackle most downs, then I think we have an unfortunate combination:

1.) It's a personnel scheme that makes us both incredibly predictable with play calling and incredibly dependent upon a single player-that you rarely find interns of the aforementioned measurables-to be successful in the scheme's execution.

2.) Your line in general isn't capable of playing at a level that most others can and do execute at with that type of extra blocking almost always dedicated.

This. This is all I want to take from this game. 2 Freshman interior linemen finding out what this league is all about and getting better. I think they will.

The lines were the only reason we lost that game.

I have a buddy who loves to say - attritbuted to his college coach - that is not about the Xs and Os, its about the Jimmies and Joes.

That pretty much sums it up. Their Jimmies and Joes are just better than ours in the trenches. We got outclassed up front and there just isn't much you can do when the opponent dominates the LOS.
