This link is one reason why:

PS: J. Lee or Mett are nightmares for Chip Kelly. Chip is also going to be shocked at some of our freshman/young talent which might be once in a lifetime.

i think on talent alone we should beat them but I am obviously worried about JJgate being a huge distraction to the team going to dallas. granted Miles has done an excellent job of preparing teams in the face of adversity ie Katrina.

Vegas thinks it will be close, the Ducks are favored by 1.5. IMO, the difference will be the fact this will be more of a home game for us than Oregon which is why I think LSU wins in a close one.

We're going to tax Oregon's arse. I don't think the game will ever be in doubt after the first quarter.

I'm worried about how we'll do down the stretch in SEC play.

Oregon couldn't sell out National ChampionShip game tickets so yea it will def feel like a home game.

If we returned two of our front seven on D I would be hyperventilating.

Conversely we return the most experienced OL we've had in a while and we outweigh them by 30 lbs.

Those SEC road games always worry me for when we have an off game and SEC refs give us a hard time on questionable big calls.

I was reading an Oregon message board yesterday and they are being way too cocky. Talking about how this win will be tainted for them and so on. It's going to be hilarious watching them get spanked. These boys are going to be pumped up and playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Well, location plays a factor in that.

We outweigh them and we should be able to match their overall team speed.

I feel like if you aggressively attack on offense like Oregon it will collapse.

If you look closely at their games last year, they had a lot of close games or were trailing against some bad teams. They just have the ability to run away with games when they get going.

This is a good point, which will favor LSU. Other teams didn't have the depth to hang with Oregon and they just wore teams out.. Hell, Tennessee hung with them until mid way into the 3rd and then Oregon was just able to run all around the field on them and that was early in the season (Tennessee continued to improve and depth was their biggest problem).

In the Auburn game, they forced Newton to be a pocket QB. Obviously Auburn won despite the fact Oregon forced their heart and soul (Newton) to play a complete different game than he was use to.

the jjgate could do one of two things. They could come out flat due the distraction, or come out ready to kick the shite out of the tree huggers.

The depth, returning starters and "home" crowd all bode well for LSU. The biggest unknown is the impact of the skirmish in at Shadys. I expect that in another week, with no additional distractions, the Tigers will be very focused and will dominate the ducks.

Actually you are 100% wrong, but that is okay. Oregon sold all of its tickets and had demand for a lot more. What Oregon fans were not willing to do was pay 1000 dollars or more in large numbers for tickets

You must be a plant. This is the type of game that LSU dreams about. It's practically a home game and we have plenty to prove.

You'll still be able to make the Rose Bowl. USC's out of commission for a while.
