Orgeron hasn't even coached a game at LSU yet
I hope we would not consider offering it to Coach O.

None of the above! Neither have proven they can be a head coach. MAYBE just MAYBE Cam but as Little Nicky can tell you Pro and college are different.

It takes a special OP to compel responses that make two highly-qualified professionals sound as if they shouldn't be allowed to work at McDonald's, much less be a head coach.

Only way I could see this would be if Miles had a health issue and needed to step down mid-season.
If that happens, I'd say Cameron would be the official guy; he's got more time in with both the team and the athletic department, and he's a lot closer to Miles personally.
That said, it would be a huge opportunity for Orgeron. He'd be a great resource for Cameron, having gone through the same situation at USC, and I could see him being an unofficial "co-head coach" and assuming a lot of extra responsibilities.
Orgeron still has a little of the "buffoon" label about him, and if he could co-exist seamlessly with Cameron and help rescue such a season, he'd likely shed that image and be a hot commodity for another program.

Neither would be ideal, but give me coach O. Les is what his assistants are as a coach. His strength is recruiting. If he were to leave we have to keep that part of the program top notch and I would take coach O over coach Cam to do that.

Coach O is just not a head coach. Speaking of short memories, does anyone recall his tenure as HC at Ole Miss?
You realize that he got some of the best players in the country there. Just didn't have enough time.
You think he can't be a HC because of 1 time long ago? What about what he did a USC? Just throw that out the window.
Some of Yall are insane. I pray O is the successor to les

Right because the state of indiana is full of elite football players and they are a top 3-4 program in the big 10.

If we went from inside program...
Frank.

Cam Cameron would not make it 1 season. He would be a pathetic recruiter and no coaches would coach for this guy. In Miami he wouldn't allow his assistant coaches to drink! Not even at home....yeah, that will work.
