Hypothetical: If Saban does jump ship, does that change your view on Miles?

If Nicky jumps to Indy or Texas, would your view on Les staying/going and the next couple of years change?

Suddenly, he is the most decorated coach in the SEC.

Of our SEVEN losses in the SEC West the last two years only 2 are to Bama.

Fail.

No. Its just time for a change. Miles may or may not realize it, but it is best for both parties.

no... he's still a great man, good recruiter, and terrible coach... Saban leaving Bama doesn't change anyone's perceptions of Miles.... "decorated" or not...

What Saban does has no correlation with Miles inability to adapt his approach/philosophy to today's game and athletes or keep his teams prepared and focused.

Miles failings are on him and his hardheadedness.

What if Saban came back to LSU. BUT only caveat is Les remains as offensive coordinator and has complete utter control of all things offensive. Would you still be happy?

Will the next guy shoot a LB through the pulling G or C gap just to get the RB first? Yes.

Will LSU under Miles run it the same way the next time? Yes

Will LSU under Miles run it the same way the next game even though the opponent has seen the film of the previous game? Yes

So NO, no change.

SABAN is never leaving Bama....EVER

Same shite comes up every year. He's not going to Texas, LSU, USC, the NFL, Canadian league, etc... Stop with the stupidity.

It wouldn't change mine, but you can bet your arse it would change the tunes of all the Gumps currently singing his praises and saying we should keep him. Not one of them would want him if Saban left.

1. Saban isn't going anywhere

2. Miles' issues go way beyond simply not being able to beat Saban. As has been discussed ad nauseum.

Eff no. The biggest knock on Miles is the offense and his inability to field a competent one.

Defense can only bail you out so much, which we saw with the last great LSU team in 2011...filled with NFL defenders.
