If they don't you avoid an out-and-out losing season and protect O from further humiliation. You sacrifice important practice time and reps for our much discussed youth. You also miss out on a chance at a winning season.

After seeing the basketball program "reject" an NIT bid year before last, I predict they would decline.

Now if we're one of those 5-7 teams the bowl people try and get to fill the games, what do you do?

LSU isn't a good enough program like Notre Dame to turn down bowl bids.

Yeah, they accept. They're going to need the money.

I think you have to accept it. We can't act like we are above those bowls when our administration hired a rougarou for a coach

if you have a shot to keep our winning record streak INTACT you take it. if not no. no losing team deserves a bowl of any type not even the chickenshit bowl.

Bottom tier bowls are usually money losers.

1) The league wouldn't let a member school decline.

2) LSU actually loses a little money when they go to a lower tier bowl. Expenses outweigh money earned.
