Any correlation with the "old guys" in the program getting hurt (wearing out)? Cartwright...Norman...Newman

There are more that are not hurt than are. Stop trying to make something out of nothing. Not the same injuries either.

Shouldn't the "best college baseball program" in the land be able to win at least 1 regional or super regional away from home? Haven't even come close....ever

This season started heading the wrong way when we lost Cannizzaro. We replaced the best hitting coach with a GA. Black cloud over the baseball program it would seem at the moment. Praying things turnaround for all the guys who came back and didn't go pro. Hitting is our main issue. We've gone back to pre Cannizzaro days where we lacked good timely hitting.

Next man up? You can't be serious ! LSU under Paul Mainieri simply doesn't recruit enough pitching to sustain a loss like this. He is a poor program manager and Alan Dunn is at best an average pitching coach. Very disappointing and that includes Newman as well. Champions find ways to be on the field.

"Different format 30 yrs ago"

Actually it was a much tougher format. It was also 28 years ago.

Newman's never won a championship yet. And now he never will.

He was on the 2015 SEC Championship team.

If your reference is limited to CWS championships, you can say the same thing about 99% of all college baseball players who have ever played or will ever play the game.
