Why not move Jordan into that 5 hole. Hes been hitting well lately and has a some power. Could lock him self into the duh role with a big weekend.
Romero is perfect for that role but not sure how healthy he is

We need to see if watson can keep hitting. Otherwise jordan may have to go back to left field, and inserting reid/romero/woley at dh

Gotta move Slaughter down. Its killing us having a strikeout machine in the middle of the lineup, you have to have someone you can at least count on to put the ball in play. Smith has looked better as of late, maybe he is adjusting.

Are you sure KRob still belongs in your "big 3?"
Posted on 3/29/17 at 12:30 pm to Adam4848
Dude constantly squints while at bat. Could be just a nervous habit.

I was told he squints just before the pitcher pitches so when he opens his eyes, everything, including the pitchers delivery is easier to see.

Yessssss I'm sure, he's slumping right now but he's still one of the leaders of this team.

Id move Watson and Slaughter up in the line up and take the pressure off of them. How many Runners on base have they left stranded? They both hit much better with the pressure off.

I really like that lineup. Tempted to switch Slaughter and Smith, but the 3 lefty in a row would bother me

1. Duplantis
2. Robertson
3. Deichmann
4. Freeman
5. Watson
Looks to me like Watson needs more AB's and should be in the top 5. Slaughter and Pap are at 7-8 so the question is 1,6, & 9. Right now...Duplantis & Freeman are interchangeable at 1-4 but I'm hoping that neither are batting cleanup going into the SEC tourny.
The problem with CPM is that he gets tunnel vision after week ONE and our roster isn't fully utilized. Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like he can't fix a pitching AND hitting issue at the same time.

The rant needs to get their complaints together. Does he tweak to much or not enough?

well, that doesn't seem to be working.

I wouldn't mind trying Smith out at leadoff. He has the third highest OBP on the team and it allows you to keep Deichmann in the 4 hole and move one of Freeman, Duplantis, or Robertson behind him. Something like this:
Smith (L)
Freeman(R)
Duplantis (L)
Deichmann (L)
Robertson (R)
Jordan (R) vs Lefty Reid (L) vs Righties
Slaughter (R)
Coomes (R)
Watson (R)
Smith (L)
Freeman(R)
Duplantis (L)
Deichmann (L)
Robertson (R)
Jordan (R) vs Lefty Reid (L) vs Righties
Slaughter (R)
Coomes (R)
Watson (R)

He tweaks like a tweaker. A great coach makes as many adjustments as are necessary to improve the team. My point was more about the players who seem to disappear after the first few weeks of the season. Also, I'm not knocking CPM because I understand that he's coaching at a school which expects NC's every other year. Maybe that pressure is getting to him.

Smith is putting up good at bats right now but if SEC pitching gets to him swap him with Robertson.
