How will UH being in playoff picture affect pursuit of Herman?

I think we're all overlooking this important aspect. It will be really tough to get to him in December (back channel yada yada) if his team is in the playoff.
And yes, we know, "herman isn't leaving."

If houston doesn't join the big 12 and if the texas job isn't open we have a great chance at herman.

If they loose to Louisville it will keep them out of the playoffs, and that could help LSU should they not get the invite to the big 12. One loss in a major conference won't keep a good team out.

Last thing we need to do is tick Herman off by creating a buzz and a cloud over his team that, as of now, is in the thick of the playoff hunt.

Why would Herman leave UH? They have tne enrollment, alumni and television base to rival Texas and Ohio State. They can match any offer. Tneyhave a fertile recruiting base. All they need is acceptance into a Power 5 conference. And that will come a lot sooner than anyone thinks.

Yea the idiots who will be in charge of the decision really bumbled it last year with their "leaks." Have to do like Uga did and set it up quietly then strike.
