From LSUsports.net

quote:

Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee are among the 30 schools that had their subsidies for the athletic department dramatically increase over the past four years.

quote:

LSU and Nebraska remain the only two athletic departments from across the nation that reported receiving no subsidies. The LSU athletic department receives no state tax dollars or any revenue from student fees to assist with its 81.5 million dollar budget.

You're either trolling or you are very ignorant.

Am I making sense? Do you consider yourself part of the WE?

The fanboys on here will tell you that you are not part of the team so you have no right to criticize anything, and then in the same breath take credit for all the wins.

I use "we" because I'm a student here. Even if I wasn't, college ball is way more personal than any other sport.

No problem with fans using "we" but I hate when the media, especially LSU and Hornets/Saints use "we".....so much for no bias

Yes. I have two post-grad degrees from LSU, worked at LSU and have a national championship ring in my safe. Definitely a "we" guy.

ETA: Forgot about season tix too, that go along with my very expensive TAF fees.

I always thought WE referred to fans and when it is said "We will win" just means "Our team will win".

I think having an @lsu.edu address would warrant them a "we".

As an alumnus, booster, season ticket holder, and avid fan who - like many others - has spent tens of thousands traveling to watch the football team, I feel fully justified using the royal "we" when referring to LSU athletics and LSU in general.

I have no problem with anyone using we at the college or pro level. Its your team, you spend money and time on them. You have an emotional interest in them. People need to let it be.

Yeah. I wasn't saying only people with lsu email addresses. I was using that as a point for the dipshit that kept insisting TAF wasn't a part of LSU.

Yes...since I was bout 6 and knew we had such a thing as LSU/LSU sports.

I was a "WE" when being a "WE" was not in style and I will be a "WE" as long as I'm around to be one.

Win or lose...LSU forever!

I say we and I went to Ole Miss.

I am from Baton Rouge though and haven't missed but 4 or 5 homes games since I was an infant.

it's alright to use "we" if you actually got a degree from lsu. it's "they" otherwise.

doesn't make you an outsider per se, just not part of the true lsu family. more like extended family.
