And isn't the offense's sucess and failure really an issue traced back to the OC? I believe so.

Seriously?

I think about it in the military and it is very similar. The platoon leader is ultimately responsible for the platoon's success or failure yes that's true, but if the weapon squad leader is all fricked up it doesn't matter how good the rest of the platoon is your gonna look ate the frick up.

ok, and what if you change the "weapon squad leader" multiple times and you still keep having the same issues? At what point does it become clear that it is the leadership of the "platoon leader" that is the problem?

2. I agree with the criticism on the lack of any progress on offense, and inability to adjust. I don't have much confidence that he CAN turn it around, but that is definitely what I want to happen. Win out!

To many TD posters miles can do nothing. It doesn't matter what he does people have developed a negativity bias against him.

That's bullcrap.

Miles could have fired his OC, and got out of the way.

He refused. He then trotted out an offense that regressed.. after all the crap we went through last season.

It starts at the top and he isn't getting it done any more. It's not about being bias against Miles. It's about wanting better for our players and program. I was one of Miles' biggest supporters over the years when many were calling for his firing.. I was one of the be careful what you wish for.. but now we are living through not even being competitive in the West games any more.. and that's unacceptable. Even if you don't win them all, we have the talent to at least COMPETE. We aren't even competing against Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss at times. Those games are an embarrassment.

Tired of LSU under-utilizing their talent. LSU currently has more players in the NFL than any other team.

LSU is ranked top around top 4 in recruiting over the past 4 seasons.. and the others, OSU, Alabama, FSU, have all won a national championship in that time.. we have not..

Miles is not getting it done and he is making a joke of the offense nationally.

He had all the motivation in the world.. We have seen enough of this.

Winning cures all, but Miles has totally taken the enjoyment out.. LSU often struggles to pull these victories out because of Miles. I want LSU to win every single game.. but I still prefer Miles to step away ASAP. Even if he won it all.. but that's easy to say now.. as I said, winning does cure all.. we haven't been winning when it matters most lately.

This question is mute because what he should have done should have been done in the off season. He led everyone to believe there would be changes to the offense. He was not happy with the defense so he adds Coach O a year ago and makes a blockbuster hire in Dave Aranda while ushering out Kevin Steele in a nice way. But he keeps Cam Cameron? We are supposed to believe it was his health that hurt the offense. Cameron should have been let go a year ago as well as Grimes. Then hire an innovative offensive minded coach. LSU could have hired Sarkisian. He had problems but he didn't kill anyone or rape anyone or allow for sexual abuse by his players. He wasn't poison to a program. He was always going to be back in the game. But he wasn't the only one. Go get the OC at Louisville who is coaching under Petrino or someone in a similar position at another offensively successful program. Then step out of the way and them do their job like he does Dave Aranda.

That's true. Miles just needs to step up and be honest with us though and say look the CC thing didn't work out but even if he felt that way he wouldn't or couldnt say it. Who would really. This whole thing is very political so you have to understand that. But yes Cam needs to go. He had his chances. And Les needs to shake things up which from the past I do have to admit is something he hasn't been good at. Let's let Miles do Miles. Just give that new OC more freedom to work on this offense. Les, be that figure head and represent but leave the Xs and Os to those CCs and DCs.

I really wish he would resign like Spurrier did last season.

Well he is never going to do that if he didn't do it after almost getting fired last season, so this whole conversation is pointless. He doesn't think there is a problem other than poor execution..so he is blaming the players.

The brand is being damaged and was damaged even more at the end of last season and the beginning of this. If you are going to pay Cameron 1.2 million then why not offer that to Spurrior to run the offense. Hell give him 1.5. The increase will be returned 10 fold in revenue from multiple places. Namely going to a BCS Bowl game.
