I made my first game at the age of 3. If you can notice shapes, colors, sounds and it isn't an SEC or ranked opponent. GO for it!

I took my 3yr old daughter last year to the Tenn game and it was not bad she had a great time and still talks about it till today. Plus she even walked the way to and from the stadium. So I would it depends on the kid

make sure to get your kid proper hearing protection. At that age, it is easy to get permanent damage at the decibel pressure that happens in Tiger Stadium

Or is he old enough and my buddy is just a vagina?

Apparently you don't have kids.

I attended my first home game in 1964 against Texas A&M. I was 11 months old. I'm told LSU won.

My daughter has been going with me since she was three. Ten now and it just gets better and better.

i would say 6. I have 3 boys and i have made the mistake of bringing them to the games when they were too young.

I was 4 and still remember my 1st game. I'm bringing my 5 year old to his 1st game for Arkansas. I figured a day game would be the safest bet for now. I'll give him a couple more years before I bring him to a night game. He needs to be old old to not repeat everything he hears.

18 months is too young. Look for 4-6 years old and attend a weak game like this one and do not go to the game intending on watching the action. It is a day for the kid (band, Mike etc) Has your friend considered this new thing called a "Baby sitter" both would be a lot happier at this age.

The wife and I have been bringing our son since he was 1. He's been to big games (Alabama) and cup cakes. I think the "right age" depends on the kid. Our boy enjoys the sounds and sights and sitting with family and friends.

good for you. People baby kids wayyy too much these days. I'm pretty sure my parents took me younger than 3.. I just can't remember it.. Back then, they didn't miss a game.

When they are able to sit in their own seat and able to enjoy the game and not get bored with it.

My little girl went in at 4 months old to her first game. We had suite tickets though. Still bad arse though.

Have the kid watch a game with you on TV.
If they can stay interested for the whole game, then they are old enough to go to Tiger Stadium with you. If not, they will just be a distraction.

I went to my first game when I was 9. I was a distraction...

I have 3 kids. All I my kids made a tailgate or four prior to their first birthday. All of them made their first game after their second birthday (out of diapers ). Coolest thing in the world is putting your kid on your shoulders and walking up the ramp until you hit the shoot. My wife took pics of all three of them as we cam through the shoot and they saw the inside of the stadium for their first time. I honestly cry every time I look at them. I am a 3rd generation fan/alumnist, so for us it is a special experience. They are wonderful memories I will always cherish. Tomorrow is our "family" game, so all 5 of us will attend together. Can't wait for the family walk down the hill and up the ramps.
