How much can we realistically pitch Skenes in Omaha?

Kids like Kopps a few years back pitching a ton and this Stanford kid pitching 156 pitches last night.
I don’t think any overuse is worth ruining our guy as he’s done more than enough to this point to be considered a GOAT.
But what is that number? He should be well rested with only throwing 100 last weekend as opposed to his 120.
I know this gets asked a lot but it’s not really applicable til you’re playing for all the marbles.

They’re not going to do anything to jeopardize his potential draft earnings, but if we’re 6 outs away from a title in a one run game, he’s getting the ball no matter how much he’s pitched.

Even if he’s off and tired he’s be better than anybody else out of the pen probably

Depends on who wins tonight. I think Hurd game 1 against usm skenes game 2 rest there’s a break for game 3 then skenes in the championship series

Well I’ll take Skenes on his worst day over most others best day.
Plenty of pitchers start game 1 and come back to pitch an inning or 2 in game 3. Louis Coleman did it in 2009. Hell Tanner hall beat our arse twice last year.

He will not come in relief for any reason in Omaha. Jay has said that time and time again.

have a hard time seeing us get 3 starts out of him barring rain delays. 4 days rest, then come back on 3 days rest? how?
use to be you only really needed 2 studs to get through the CWS. then they took off an offday in the middle of the week and moved up the CS from Sun/Mon/Tue to Sat/Sun/Mon
maybe we get some rain

The only way this can even remotely happen is if we're in a game 3 of the championship series and Skenes previously made his 2nd start in bracket play because we had to come out of the losers bracket a la Lange in 2017.
Maybe, MAYBE, Jay puts in Skenes for 25 pitches to close it out since he'd be on a bullpen day regardless.

If he has to pitch a second game before the championship series more than likely he wouldn’t be available until game 3 of the series.
