& get it over with

yes, of course i'd rather see LSU play in tiger stadium but c'mon we are playing a team in which we are 40-point favorites....the stadium will be empty by halftime as it is

secondly, i'm the kinda person who wants to where i'm going to be traveling to (from NWLA so i will travel regardless), and with ike looming around & projections having it hit anywhere from morgan city to houston, it's a little unnerving to wait until thursday to make a decision about the game

any other reasons why today would be a good day to announce the game in dallas? or reasons NOT to do it?

I don't want them to prematurely make the wrong decision

dallas is a big evacuation point for southeast texas...moving the game there (dallas) now would be silly

a decision has to be made soon

you can't chose dallas b/c you have no idea what ike is going to do....you can't chose NO b/c you have no idea what ike is going to do

you have to chose to keep it in TS, and if ike threatens us.....the game must be cancelled or moved (time wise)

why not shreveport? LSU has already proven they will lose revenue (see Az state) to accomdate LSU playing

IMO, season is spoiled if we don't play this weekend ... no chance we can repeat with 12 consecutive weeks of playing

Even if the storm hits SW Louisiana, BR will get douched with rain making the game unplayable. Move the game to Dallas now- Miles doesn't care where it is, he just wants to play. We fans can suck it up- LSU has to be prudent in these matters.

so you think if they cancel this weekend, then LSU will just not play the game?

what if the storm hits southeast texas? now, you have moved the game to an evacuation point for people leaving glaveston and houston

that decision shouldn't be made now

i dissagree....the decision to move the games location has to come before wednesday

i think tommorrow a decision would have to be made, then a last "check the final weather updates" wednesday morning and at absolute latest, make an announcement on wednesday

announcing anything later than that would be bad.....real bad

If the storm stays on it's present track, it will hit the Texas/La. border, therefore dousing Dallas in heavy rain as a tropical storm. Either way you lose.

That is correct. If they don't play NTU this weekend the game will be cancelled. LSU will only have an 11 game schedule.

I agree that Dallas is looking like a bad idea. Everyone from South TX evacs to Dallas which would be another traffic nightmare. NOLA is looking better from the last projections.

even making that decision at this time would be premature

keeping where it is...in tiger stadium and rolling the dice is the only decision that can be made right now

you cannot elect to move a game in case a storm comes this way from one location in your home stadium where all your logistics have been in place for months to another location which may be directly in the path of the oncoming storm...it makes no sense

I agree. I am saying it looks like NOLA is more probable than TX. They will probably decide WED. Most projections have it well west of NOLA.

Two things....
1. Is Tiger Stadium still damaged?
2. We need to play this game. Starting the SEC schedule with only one game under our belts and a long layoff is not a good thing.

first off no LSU fans (except the ones who live in shreveport and surrounding areas) want the game moved there or dallas. go cheer for the pilots.

only reason we are making up the troy game is because luckily they had the same bye week as we did.
