Ok ... how many?

It's a given before the game ... that's one

After scores? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

And will that flea-bitten dog bite an LSU Tiger?

Once will be too much.

Although I do like the song, but only the true original verson by the Osbourne Brothers...with banjo, guitar, mandolin and fiddle.

Only way it is to be played.
Rocky Top

3? 3!! despite the fact that they probably wont have very many great plays or scores or things to sing about, they will still play it 3 times before the 1st quarter is over

Wish that I was on old Rocky Top
Down in the Tennessee hills
Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top
Ain't no telephone bills.

Once I had a girl on Rocky Top
Half bear the other half cat

Wild as a mink but sweet as soda pop
I still dream about that.

Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ole Rocky Top, Rocky Top, Tennessee

I wonder if fans outside of LSU make fun of the fact that our band plays for EVERY play while on offense. As an LSU fan that shite gets annoying sometimes..especially seeing grown men go WHOOOOOOO

They'll cover that before the opening kickoff.

Which is greater - number of points scored or number of times Rocky Top is played? I'm betting on Rocky Top.

3rd and 56 for the Vols

"Rocky Top ... you'll always be ..."

4th punt for the Vols

"Rocky Top ... you'll always be ..."

Halftime score:
LSU 35 Vols 0

"Rocky Top ... you'll always be ..."

They play Rockytop after every first down too...so my prediction will be around 12. Once or twice before and after. Maybe 2 scores, but only about 7 or 8 first downs.

They will play that song when they score, when we score, when they punt, we punt, any 3rd or 4th down, to begin and end each quarter, when the sun is high in the sky, or behind clouds, with the horns facing north, south, east or west, in the snow, gloom, dark winter or a bright fall day.

They NEVER get tired of playing (and, obviously, hearing) that song.
