I think the Josh Johns loss will hurt us in the long run.

Seriously, I can see us getting into a dog fight with Bama. That one is up in the air. I feel confident with the other games. Its a tough schedule but it sets up well.

We are very good but the SEC is not very good as compared to past years. Bama is our only competition. I like our chances in an SEC with no defense.

That bama game will tell us EVERYTHING that we are made of. Unfortunately, its our biggest game. If we lose, we are out. I have full 100% confidence in Miles and our team when they have weeks, MONTHS, to prepare like we did for Oregon, but that Bama game scares me. Their lines are big and physical, they have solid LBs and very opportunistic DBs, and if we can get through them we can get through anyone.

Since 09 i felt this would be our tear. Sr qbs, fast d that onky gets better under chavis. Having uf and auburn at home. Tenn being down, having that solid ooc game to give us a boost in the bcs if we slip up. And the game being in nola. Has all the makings of 07. But 2the losses wont get us out if the west.

All the talk about former quarterbacks is good. But there is much more too it. The defensive line is much better than I first thought. My biggest concern now is the offensive line. It took 3 plays to punch it in from the 1 yard line against NWS. The running game cannot afford to get stuffed. The quarterbacks are going to have to be able to throw on first and second down and not wait until it is 3rd and long. But after watching the rest of the SEC. The Tigers look to me to be the team with the most upside.

Considering Oregon is W whereas two months ago it was and upcoming game contributes a great deal to this feeling.

I think we will know more about this team before we get to Bama.

We still have to navigate State, WVU, Florida, etc before facing Bama.

A while back I said that LSU has the best Oline + Dline combination in the SEC when comparing talent and depth. I may have to change that statement to best in the country. And after a great spring game and offseason, and 2 really good showings in the first 2 games...it's safe to say Simon is the real deal.

I was not very hopeful in the returning QB...
I WAS very confident in our D,(whats on paper is holding true to the field)
I was not sure about our special teams, pleasantly suprised..
I knew we had the talent on O, but hoping simplfied system would allow it to be better used.. I am glad things are playing out this way. I also believe these players have bought into CLM plan and that they are on a mission! They seem very focused and believe in this team

I don't think we have enough offensive firepower to be 'special' as in National Championship type special. I do think we have a very good team, capable of a BCS bowl.

Lsu is simply a better team than Moo St. It will be close for a half but then tigers will take control.

This team is probably gonna fare the same as 06.
The schedule is just too rough no matter who the QB is.
Theres no team LSU can't hang with and right now I think the only game they won't be favored in is bama. But the tigers need many things to go their way (no injury bug, no screwing by the refs, no coming out flat, etc).
It's a lot to overcome.

Wait till the first opponent stuffs the run and lee has to make play after play. Depending on how he handles that might foretell the rest if the season.
For most opponents we'll be the biggest game of the year. UF, Tenn, and Bama all have a grudge factor. If state or WVU beats us it would arguably be in their top 3 wins in the last few decades.
Nothinf wrong with being excited but let's let the season play out a bit.

While I hope Lee handles it well and completes his story of redemption, I think the coaches will go to Mett if necessary to get the passing game moving.

It was pretty clear, regardless of opponent, that Mett has significant ability when it comes to throwing the football. Great footwork, good release, strong arm. Mechanics overall very sound.

I think LSU has a true legitimate shot to win it all the next 3 years. You usually have a in a couple of years, or next year they have a chance. But we are freaking loaded now, and for at least 2 more years.

Miss. State surprised me with it's lack of defense. The Tigers are going to shut them down. And should be able to score. I don't think this game will be close. Auburns defense is also horrible. And their offense is not as good as last year. The Tigers are stronger and the other teams that are on their schedule just look weaker than last year. If the Tigers stay healthy and don't hurt themselves with penalties and turn overs they should be favored in every game.
