I am. It makes watching and following and experiencing LSU football less fun.

The goal should be to enjoy the ride, not the end result.

so you're happier with a game like florida in 08 51-21 than a loss like clemson this year?
I'm not happy about any of it. What I'm saying is that when you can point to things that happen in a game that lead directly to a loss, it bothers you more.

For example, I haven't thought of that UF loss since the day after. The Ole Miss loss in 09 still bothers the shite out of me though.

I guess what I'm more "bothered" by is the mentality that now, winning the SEC is looked upon as a disappointment. Even though we lost the BCS championship game, we still went 13-0 and won the SEC championship in 2011. No one seems to acknowledge that fact. In fact, almost exactly one year later you would think LSU hadn't won anything in five years.

As someone who's been a fan for over 15 years now, I can remember fondly how happy we were when we won the SEC with Rohan Davey and crew. No, we didn't play in the BCS championship game. But the enthusiasm by our fan base was as if we had, when we beat Illinois in the Sugar Bowl.

NO TEAM can win the BCS championship every year. Bama has won 3 of the last 4 but that will not last. College football is cyclical. Ask Miami, or Nebraska. We have a much better chance of winning the SEC than the BCS. Seems like, even though we'd like to win the BCS every year, we'd appreciate winning the SEC more than we seem to these days.

I have not enjoyed the ride, or the end result since 2007. you?

2008 - the Malveto ride was broken
2009 - the JJ ride was not fun
2010 - The Lee ride functioned well, but was rarely available
2011 - The BCS ride was the worst evah
2012 - Our rides are becoming old, need updating. Other parks are now more exciting. No longer worth the price

all of your quotes except for one has to do with winning...not championships. and LSU has done alot of winning.

if you expect a NC every year you're going to be disappointed more often than not

Which is a great example of the OPs point. How do feel satisfied that LSU "won" the SEC championship, when the #1 team in the nation was from the SEC, had the same number of losses as you, and beat you far worse in your backyard than you did in their front yard?

Bama was the best team in the SEC in '11. There is no argument about that. Claiming the SEC is just a moral victory

It's not a moral victory. We did actually win the conference title. That's not even close to what a "moral victory" is.

That's crap. If we would have lost to Oklahoma St., it would be the same.

why do you have "won" in quotation marks....insinuating that we didn't win it.

and this is why people think our fanbase is spoiled. an SEC Championship is never a moral victory

Lots of teams have NC trophies when everyone knew they werent the best team that year. Its THE very reason we're going to a playoff.

In last year's "playoff" who was the better SEC team, Bama or LSU? If you say LSU was the SEC champion for 2011, then its a moral victory, much like USCs '03 NC

Nope. We won the title. I was there in Alabama and I was there in Georgia to witness us win the SEC title. No moral victory.

"Moral victory??", we won the SEC championship on the field. The NC, is won on the field, and in the ballots, and in the media!! I'm quite happy with an SEC championship..

Well this is a different thread, but I would argue that the playoff allows for this to happen much more often than the current BCS. How often does the best team in the NFL win the Super Bowl? How often does the best team win the tourney?

Sorry for the hijack.

we're not talking about 1/9...we're talking about going 13-0 and winning the SEC championship.....which you keep shitting all over. i'm starting to wonder if you're even an LSU fan at all or some poser just here to stir shite.

What a moron. LSU was the SEC Champion in 2011. We beat Bama to win the SEC West and we beat UGA to win the SEC Championship game. What about that do you not understand?
