Hopefully these new hires all work out. It's pretty obvious that Orgeron did his homework on all of these guys. Realizing that that the State defensive coordinator wasn't a good fit is a good sign IMO.

Cregg was a holdover wasn’t he?

The answer is he can change position coaches as often as he likes.

But complete overhauls, probably not too many more. Because that would mean we’re losing.

The only thing I care about is winning. If it doesn't happen this year (10+) clean house.

But I don't get the constant melting here. One day people are screaming to fire the guy and today we are melting because he is fired.

Its' just childish

The timing sucks, but every job has fire on the spot actions. You violate the recruiting rules.... c ya.

3 months ago, you people were screaming for Cregg to be fired. Now hes fired, you're bitching.
People wanted Cregg to leave because he was a at best a mediocre coach.

People are complaining now because it took Cregg getting caught cheating to get him fired. It had little to do with his poor performance. If that hadn't happened, Coach O was going to continue to go with Cregg.

Am I happy Cregg is leaving? Yes. Am I happy how it's happening? No.

Glad your dad bought you season tickets.

It will not stop you from bitching.

Are you illiterate?

Thats not what the OP asked.

I'll make it easy for you since you are struggling.

I'll take 100% turnover to stay in title contention every year.

How many more staff remakes does o get?

Then goes on to say...

He is making $7 million to miss out on so many assistant hires

Correct. What the frick does 10+ wins have to do with staff hires and fires?
You are very confused here.

If we win 10+ games then that means the hires were a success. If we don't that means they were a failure by your 10 win barometer.

I was never a Cregg advocate but you do realize our oline won an award for the best oline in CFB in 2019 right? Kind of hard to fire a guy the next year

Unless they voluntarily leave for another position.

It all comes down to W/L.

It’s a bit unrealistic to expect a completely new staff to come in and tell them 10 wins or you’re all fired. Asinine.

He is making 7 mil bc he won a national title and it was probably in his contract. Maybe the OP should have started with his starting salary if he is including all the hires he made while being the HC

Disagree. Too talented and experienced.

Dont give a rat's arse about staff turnover. Its about jimmies and Joe's, wins and losses. Staff turnover is low hanging fruit

-Saban remakes his staff every year or so. He just made better hires, and is more hands on.

Orgeron has 1 Natty, and we can all agree he's turned the corner with QB recruiting. Hopefully he has now learned what he needs out of assistants and can start becoming more like Saban in the hiring process.

"If" LSU can beat Bama this year that would make it 2/3 and Ogeron will start pulling in more elite Oline/Dline talent, and make us a hot spot coaching destination.

Not only that but I rewatched the "18" game between LSU and Georgia last night. Number two team in the nation.
Georgia team was made up of four and five stars and Smart had a year head start over Orgeron. Their Defense was very strong.
LSU's OL was the difference in the game, in the fourth quarter. They opened holes for Brosette and Hilliard.
Creggs problem wasn't coaching it was recruiting.
