We’re paying the worst DC in school history $4 million not to coach here anymore.

Every other year. He fricks up then he makes up for it. That’s been the pattern since he got here.

It’s a stupid arse question. He was fired for cause. It’s not a “staff remake”

Coach broke NCAA rules. O found out and fired him for cause. Hopefully the NCAA will go easy on us.

Orgeron has basically made two good hires in 4 years. He's had to fire, reassign or get help for 6 hires after only 1 season. It's absolutely a fair question. If he has to do again after this year, what kind of confidence do you have that he will be successful in the next hires?

What is the average coaching turnover at other top programs?

Stupid take. Coaching staffs are a constant carousel for all programs. You clearly just want to be a negatiger and don't really know college football.

You are probably the same guy that complains when you think coaches are held on for too long

Most top programs have staff turnover because their coaches are having success not because the coaches are deemed to be unsuccessful after one season.

The recruiting that Orgeron is doing is simply amazing to be able to over come that. He nailed it with McMahon and Brady then turned in the best season college football has ever seen. If he can get the assistant hires right, he's gonna win another one too.

lol...have you ever seen Bama's turnover year-to-year?

This is just for 2021:

quote:

Steve Sarkisian, former offensive coordinator of the Crimson Tide, accepted a position as head football coach of Texas. He was replaced by Bill O'Brien. Charles Huff, former Associate Head Coach/Running backs coach accepted the head coaching position at Marshall and was replaced by Todd Watson as Associate Head Coach and Robert Gillespie as Running backs coach. Former Special teams coordinator/Tight end coach Jeff Banks left to accept a position as the Assistant Coach/Special teams coordinator/Tight end coach for Texas and was replaced by Jay Graham. Former Cornerbacks coach Karl Scott left and went to fill a position as a Defensive backs coach for the Minnesota Vikings and has been replaced by Jay Valai. Former Offensive line coach Kyle Flood left to be the Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach for Texas and was replaced by Doug Marrone. On March 24, 2021, Jay Graham left the program after only two months of being with the Tide and was replaced by Drew Svoboda.

Why is Canada counted as a bad hire? He was a Broyles finalist at Pitt.

Pelini hire sucked but at least he moved on. Not really sure what other terrible hires he made. I never wanted Canada but he is still getting good jobs.
