that used to be the case, but these Friday night/pregame paid admission tailgate parties have somewhat messed that up in the past few years. people who would normally go out partying and be apart of the lsu takeover of the campus bars now jam in to some sucky catered party in a fenced off parking lot, because they feel obligated to go after they paid for their $60 ticket to the party.

I can't for the life of me figure out why people go to these things. "Hey guys, lets go all the way to Seattle so we can watch the Molly Ringwolds play our favorite hits of the '80's!!!!"

I'm going to one of those on Saturday, put on by Cooper Tire. But it's free as the friend who invited me has to entertain some clients. And he gave me a ticket to the game so I don't mind at all. But I'm sure we'll walk around and have a good time as well.

I don't have a ticket so I'll just be drunk off my arse in Athens/maybe my friend whose coming down to meet me can buy me a ticket.

I much prefer going to away games than home games b/c those who travel are usually the good tiger fans. We go to the games for the GAME and not the tailgating experience. Don't get me wrong, tailgating is one of my favorite past times but it is just part of the game. I go for the game.

Could not agree more. I also prefer road games these days because for the most part the LSU fans who are in the stadium are actually there for the game and not to socialize. I am not there to get drunk and take selfies of me and my buddy in Tiger Stadium before kick off and then head back to the tailgate at half-time. For the most part, LSU road fans actually watch the game, cheer, and support the Tigers win or lose.

I would assume a large amount since many LSU fans have been waiting to go back to UGA for a while
