If he has another five-loss season, he should be fired. This isn't the 90's anymore, and this is no longer your daddy's LSU Football program. Too much has been invested into it to have second-rate results.

We just lost to Notre Dame in a bowl game and finished the season with 5 losses.

His seat is already quite warm.

8+ losses gets him canned.

The season would have to be a total disaster for that to happen. We haven't reached the point where he has to scapegoat his coordinators to save his job. A season similar to 2014 only gets the seat warm.

And I hate to admit it, but I'm okay with that. A championship and a shite ton of wins should get you a lot of rope with the program. He should get a full opportunity to right the ship.

A repeat of this year should be enough to do it. Shoot 8-4 should be enough to do it.

Why is every thread a what if he fails rather than a what if he succeeds? I'm not saying every thread needs to be like that, but damn, yall are some gloomy arse people always expecting the worse.

Haven't we come out of a tailspin before? Did he not right the ship in the past? I believe we will be fine, but Cam will be let go if we can't place a competent passing game on the field.

I want 15-0 but will settle for 11-2 in 2015 if the passing game takes a big jump. In 2016, I want the whole enchilada and anything else would be a disappointment.

Next year, 8 losses would mean losing EVERY game for all practical purposes.

I mean hell. 4 of our games are against complete pushovers.

If he loses to Bama again he should go. They have victimized him lately with very little talent edge. He has been out coached.

If he isn't "competing for championships" in the last week of the season he should be gone. That would be 4 years of not meeting his or the ADs goals.

Sad to say but this is true.

Objectively, I don't think Miles would be "ousted", but if he loses 8 or 9, there's a good chance he'd step down.

I don't foresee that happening, nor do I want to. Despite the anti-Miles crowd bitching, I doubt most fans really care much one way of the other about the coach; I want the Tigers to win games. Coaching stability overall is the best way to win, and Miles has proven he's capable of leading the team to a whole lot of wins. Right now we have a young and talented team and a good offensive coordinator, and we're about to bring in a new DC. I think it would hurt the program now to start completely over (which a coach firing would do), and there isn't anybody out there who I think would be better than Miles at managing the program.

not a chance. Has 3 creampuff wins guaranteed. Should end up winning minimum of 3 of the real games... He can do that for 2 - 3 more years.

Because of the ridiculous buyout, it will take 7 or more losses in 2015 & 6 or more in 2016 depending on how 2015 turns out. I think 2017 will be Miles last year & Chavis knows it.

9 is literally not even possible next year.

0-8 in conference play would be a strong consideration for change. Even then, I think he would get one more year to turn it around.

All he needs to do is to beat Bama.

Anything less than 9-3 will start to put pressure on him. It is more than losses, it is how LSU loses football games. Fourth quarter defensive collapses and shutouts are ugly.
