How many fans does Bama lose on 11/10?

Can’t wait for all of the “Bama fans” from Louisiana to cut ties with the program they claim. I absolutely can not stand the people that magically became fans as soon as they became the dominant CFB team.
What motivates one to pull for a team they have no connection to outside of ESPN? Is it attention? Shock value? I don’t get it

Alabama is the only school I've seen that actually has T-Shirt Alumni. Most younger Alabama fans from the last 10 years (>60% I believe), come from out of state. Most of them are on the bandwagon. Most I know once they leave school aren't nearly as invested as the alumni who are from Alabama. Which makes sense.

My theory is that pulling for a winner makes you feel better about yourself and situtation in life. That's what most of your lower socioeconomic class gumps pull for bama instead of Auburn. I think that's why a lot of people from Amite do the same. They have crappy lives, so they want to pull for the winning team. Gives them something to feel good about.

you think that's unique to Alabama? Bandwagon fans have been around forever, all over the country (and the world too).

It's not too hard to figure out -- people love a winner, and are attracted to winners. It's just human nature.

You don't think LSU has gained a lot of bandwagon fans this year? Of course we have.

Who are you to say who can be a fan & who can't? Just because you live in Louisiana doesn't mean you have to root for LSU.

Ask this same question to all these southern MLB fans who aren't pulling for the Astros or Braves.
