How lucky we are as Tiger Fans.....

To think that to start the new year we were talking about this being the best LSU team in the history of college football AND creating a college football dynasty with possible back to back BCS national championships AND getting another top national recruting class for 2012!
Fast forward exactly 1 week until NSD and less than a month removed from the BCS national title game and everyone (including me) is bitching about an embarrassment/melt down in the BCS title game of epic/catastrophic consequences for our program, no discussion at all of possible football dynasty, and maybe a top 10-15-20 recruiting class. WTF? The sky must be falling!
Not so fast my friend.... We have to be the luckiest fan base in college football to be so distraught over losing a national championship game! I admit it was humbling and perplexing after such a great regular season but..... WE ARE STILL LSU! That's a good thing. LSU will once again prove to the college football world that they are one of the best if not THE best in 2012. Ala. in Tiger stadium cannot come soon enough! Enjoy your day/week and look for Les to pull one or two recruits out of his lucky hat once again.
Geaux Tigers!

We are certainly at the table with the elite in College Football. Hopefully we can stay there, and get the big piece of chicken next year.

Great post. Totally agree. We are a very fortunate fan base and I for one, am very proud and happy to be a Tiger.

Lucky? LSU was blown out and embarrassed in front of the world for a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Like it or not, the program is stained for some years to come until another championship is actually won.

+1
Since Nov. 1999, LSU has won 124 games, and lost
35, appeared in 3 BCSNCGs, winning 2, appearing in 5 SECCGs, winning 3, going to 12 straight bowl games including 6 BCS bowls and 9 NYD bowls, and having 7 10-win or more seasons.
The only teams that come close to that are:
Boise State, USC, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, and Ohio State;
with Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, and Va.Tech behind them.

Really? Because LSU beat that same team earlier in the season... stop trolling for Christ sake.

I for one have that Bama game scheduled as I am sure the players do as well. Now I know you don't want to think that far ahead, you have to take care of the schedule before that game. BS, this game is circled for everyone. When we win, that will be 3 out the last 4 against the great Saban, not to bad!

....we witnessed LSU go 14 -0 in 2011. What an amazing year.
The first 25 days of 2012 have sucked. Oh well...
C'mon signing day. Les will work some magic.

.....and don't forget that TWELVE STRAIGHT Tiger recruiting classes have played for a national championship - not too many people breathing that air!
