At the 8:21 2nd half mark. It was just to give him a breather till under 8 but in the pmac Ive never heard such a loud nooo or whaaaaat? Over a substitution. poor bastard practically got a standing o just for grabbing a board and bitting outlet to a guard :lol;

I am almost afraid to say it, but our fans might be sophisticated enough to understand the timing of the substitution and knew it was just going to be til the next whistle. Am I giving too much credit??

I was drunk and ready for some thunder from down under when Malone came in.

I've watched games with people (LSU fans and not) who have been watching college basketball for 20+ years and still have no idea how I can predict when the commercial breaks are coming.

It's so damn easy in basketball.

Basically every 4 minutes in college.

Basically every 3 minutes in the pros with the exception of the 1st and 3rd quarters being 6 minutes in.

Football, hell if I can tell when a change of possession will result in a TV timeout or not or if a Timeout will be a tv timeout or not.

Any dead ball under 16,12,8, and 4.

One thing they need to change but never will is piggy backing timeouts though.
Ex:team calls a timeout at 1550...come back and next dead ball is now the under 16 timeout.it kills flow of game

Also i hate by rule full timeouts

The tricky one is when the team calls a timeout under 4,etc and they still have a media TO. I love when it happens when an inbounds pass is deflected out of bounds. It's worse than commercial KO commercial

I didnt think it passed because i bitched about it a few games ago. Maybe i was paying too much attention and the under 16 crept up by the under 12 or something

Gotta give it to Darcy tonight. He catches hell on here and did exactly what he needed to tonight.

I had to laugh at how quickly he got rid of the ball after he rebounded it.

My only problem with the sub was that Simmons had played so few minutes in the first half. There was no reason he needed to sit to get a rest. He averages around 36 min per game right?

The best conditioned players still gets winded. It's not that Simmons couldn't have played through it, but it's solid coaching to use the timeouts as a way to rest players. He missed 52 seconds and got about 4-5 real minutes of rest. Up 10 makes it an easy decision.

The panic was excitement, because everybody wanted to see Karl bust out his flip phone

He cramped in the Vandy game from playing a lot of minutes. Were you more concerned when he cramped in the Vandy game or when he was substituted for in the KY game. I was more concerned about the cramps than the substitution plan of Jones.
I suspect that Quarterman was directed to handle the ball more as a result of Simmons cramping.
