Does anyone here have any insight to how Fournette's ankle is progressing? He doesnt look 100% but he was making some pretty hard cuts off that side which had me ecstatic that he still looks good but also concerned that this will continue to linger through the season. We are gonna need him at full go by the time we hit Ole Miss and Bama.

With Guice and Williams, why not let him get to 100%? Don't play for the Heisman. Let the Heisman come to you. It might be Lamar Jackson's anyway.

High ankle sprains are brutal. Some say it's not, some say it is. We all have flashbacks to Skyler greens high ankle sprain.

I expect the ankle to get better if play calling and game management improves from the coaching side to make a run at the playoff. If not, I see the ankle injury lingering until a couple weeks before the NFL combine.

You suck.
Did you not see how hard he ran against state. He's not mailing it in at all as your post is suggesting

Where is a good 3 week stretch in the schedule to hold him out?

high ankle sprains are a tricky thing they can linger or be re-injured fairly easily. SOunds like he has bounced back well lets just hope he doesnt aggravate it again

Maybe I was too drunk or need to go watch again, but he looked about as close to 100% as possible against State. Not sure where people are getting this

Two weeks of recovery prior to the MSU game suggests that he has (at worst) a moderate ankle sprain of the ligaments, as opposed to a high ankle sprain; which takes much longer to heal. Depending on his previous history of ankle injuries would determine the recovery time in this case-which I don't recall of any. If you notice the natural position of his feet he has a hind foot valgus, which means his heels are positioned and turned more inside. The only cause for concern is that this posture of his feet predispose him for ankle sprains, but he will be fine. He'll be in New York.

I could be wrong....I hope so , but there does seem to be something going on . When LF was in the open field against Miss St. , it appeared to me that he didn't have that extra gear . Again , I hope I am wrong , but it was like he eased up a little instead of accelerating . I am thinking he may have [or had ] a hamstring issue .

Is it just me or does it seem the other team is now trying to tackle him by his ankles?

Not just you. Last year they were yanking his face mask.

Players will go for the weak point on someone. Of course they want to sideline the best player on the team and maybe the conference or country.

THis particular injury will be there throughout the remainder of the season. Rest is a big deal, and playing and practicing week to week in a football season doesn't provide that rest. He'll be fine, just never 100% until bowl game.

You know he will get some shots on it
Miss St was doing a lot of pulling and tugging on it under the piles, my guess is that will continue as well since you have these sec crews that suck
