The last time we went to Orlando for the game we left at 6:00pm and got there about 7:30am.

BE CAREFUL Before the turn onto I 75 the cops are thick and they hide out where you can't see them until its tooooo late. I got a ticket traveling about 95, not really noticing becuase me and the kids were singing to the song and I didn't have my radar detector turned up and he pulled me over. thank god he gave me a ticket for doing 85.

After Katrina my family stayed in Melbourne (about 50 miles past/east of Orlando on the coast).

My goal from Slidell-to-Melbourne was nine hours; 9.5 hrs was my best. Couldn't overcome the tolls around Orlando.

But realize I typically left Slidell in the late afternoon and stopped just once for gas.
