10-11 hours depending on how many times you stop.

Closer to 11. I travel from Lafayette to Ocala, about 1 1/2 hours north of Orlando. It always takes me at least 10 hours at somewhere between 75 & 80 mph. Traffic is usually not too bad until you start heading south on I-75, take the turnpike to Orlando at Wildwood, FL.

Took me 10 from Prairieville doing 78 - 80 all the way so 9.5 is definitely doable.

It doesn't figure in the driving time but don't forget you "lose" an hour when you cross into the eastern time zone.

We made it back in about 10 1/2 hours after Thanksgiving. I really dislike that drive.

That stretch between Lake City and Tallahassee then Tallahassee to Pensacola is brutal.

It feels like it keeps going and going.

I'm sure it's more enjoyable with a few friends.

I've done it from Lafayette in 11.5 hrs. If you don't travel with kids are people who have to pee every 1/2 hr and you make your gas and food stops together you should be able to do it from slidell in 9 hrs

I'll be leaving wednesday morning from Houma at 12pm and should arrive in Orlando 11am

The traffic will be bad from Gainesville to Orlando, but before that it should be easy running.
Yes, from Pensacola to Lake City is brutally boring, nothing to see. Safe driving to all.

From Baton Rouge to Orlando is about 700 miles. So it depends how often you stop and for how long. I have made it in as little as 8.5 hrs(by myself) and it's taken up to 11 hrs(women need to stop more and slow you down).
