The decision on the location of this game is now officially longer than LSU's head coaching "search"

No it wasn't.

I was there.

Sounds like you're just pulling things out of your arse to try and support whatever point you're trying to make.

I suspect if there is anyway it can be played at NRG then ESPN wants that. I doubt they even care how many fans show up. They know the attendance is going to be off if they move it to another venue.

I guess I'm just worried they'll keep batting everything around until ESPN says "Let's postpone it to later..."

You have it exactly backwards. ESPN isn't dragging feet. ESPN has a specific timeslot for the game, they want to ensure wherever they move it to can handle the game, that the assets-cameras staff--everything can get to site and have ample hotel rooms to accommodate etc.

ESPN wants the game in and wants to find a place that can do it and wants to minimize any possible weather, flooding or other issues.

Per the Advocate, each stadium has to go through the normal process of submitting a proposal to host. It sounds like they expect to have all of them some time today. This isn't as simple as calling the stadium and saying hey can host this game.

Calm down . Our AD, the best AD in the business hands down, will issue an announcement by 5pm that he intends to issue a statement on Tuesday that will clarify what time on Wednesday he will announce the Thursday agreement on what side of his desk he intends to put the pile of paper containing all his discussions on the game venue . Just be patient.

If it were up to Alleva, his sole criteria for selecting the location would be on whatever venue wants it the "most." None of the other qualifications would matter.
