Also, it certainly appears that the meltdown is not confined to fans. I certainly did not expect all of the departures that have apparently occurred. This appears to be beyond the worst case scenarios discussed a couple of weeks ago.

It's just normal for this to happen. We have been conditioned to see them winning.
It's funny how this NC loss is considered a bigger letdown than all the shite that happened in 08.
I expect them to win every single game next year. they will be better.
If you expect them to win every game, my friend get ready. It's not normal for a team to go 13-0 two years in a row. Not saying I wouldn't like that but lets be honest . I didn't think they would do it this year 11-2 was my prediction and happy they went 13-0

I think I was around 7 or 8 years old when my father took me to my first game, which was about 35 years ago. Boy I can tell you that I never forgot that magical moment of watching the band come marching in. It was magical because it seemed bigger than anything I could have imagined.

Been following LSU football since the wickersam QB area. This is the longest period of prosperous football at LSU. But what happened Monday night was a kick in the gut as a fan. How many times are fans going to fork out money to watch a LSU team look unprepared for a game and not make adjustments during a game. That is all on Les. The players play the game, but they don't pick the plays. Players want to stay on the field, but a coach decides who plays. Monday night Les made those decisions, so he gets the heat. Just hard to digest...........

I'm 75 years young and have been a tiger fan for 68 years. Been thru many coaches but LM is my favorite followed by Coach Paul Dietzel. No true tiger fan was happy about the BCS game nor should we be. The players and entire staff feel it more than we fans do. They worked for it, but some of us just complain. Sabin is a good coach but he also has lost games even to our tigers. Geaux Tigers, my family & I will be in the upper south this year. If anyof you elect to not return in 2012, let me know we could use some extra tickets.

I believe he realized it as he walked off the field monday night. If not, I sure Kathy let him know shortly after. He doesn't have to answer to us but to his team which I would say he already done.

Didn't answer the initial question in the first response. I can't remember a time that I wasn't a Tiger fan, since my parents and grandparents were big time fans. I remember hating Bear Bryant and not knowing exactly why. I remember being punished for saying something to my second grade teacher after she gloated over Archie Manning's performance against LSU. Couldn't believe that bitch had the audacity to teach school in BR and drool over Manning. First experience in Tiger Stadium was "helping" with concessions when I was twelve. Attended LSU in early 80s and have kids that are nearly as crazy about LSU as I am.
