How long have the long practices been an issue?

Of all the things I've heard about Les over the years, this honestly hasn't been one of them. Did I just miss that tidbit?

All the times this team came out looking flat or unmotivated, it's crazy to think they were possibly just worn out. If this is something Les had always been about, I swear, how long does it take you to pick up on this?

Seriously. I never heard of fatigue as a reason for looking flat.

2 and a half hour pre-bowl practices on location was not a favorite amongst the team/coaches.

Heard it a few times. But never matched up with fans thinking he was too soft. Maybe he worked them too hard. more stubbornness by Miles, just stuck in the old ways.

Knew a former lineman from the 05-07 years who said it's always been this way. Hours and hours, sometimes on meaningless drills and reps

That sure explains some of the behavior that simply made no sense and I could not understand, it was like we were moving in slow motion, they were tired, damn

It was always mentioned but dismissed in favor of blaming Moffitt

We used to be praised for how we could wear teams down and take over in the 4th. So I wonder if this is just a recent thing or if those players just handled longer practices better

I have been guilty of this, something was wrong and it showed on the field.

I don't think LSU has ever been a second half of the season team under Miles. We always seem to limp to the finish, rest up before the bowl, then get going again. Whether that is due to the practices, I suppose, is debatable.

Remember how everyone says about 2005, "man we had to play 10 straight games and got gassed." Maybe if we weren't beating on each other so much in that season, we don't get hammered by Georgia.

Well shoot. Now I'm confused. Les worked the players too hard but he didn't yell at them enough?

I'm submitting this to a logic textbook author as the definition of a non sequitur. I'll let you know if he intends to use it so you can pick up the book and see it.

I think the kicker is that this only happened when we had an elite defense that got off the field quickly.
