How Good Will Guice Be This Year? How Much Better?

I'm watching him against Auburn right now and he is incredible. How much better can he be after another offseason?
When people talk about LSU this season, they talk about Fournette and say that Harris has to be better. But, what about Guice? The combination of Fournette and Guice is going to be deadly, I think.

Guice will improve and would be starting if he wasn't on the same roster as LF

Guice is a monster and 1 of the most talented RBs in the country. We all know that LF is an amazing player with a freakish skill set. And he most def is. But Guice is a freakishly talented player with a rare skillset as well. And he's our RB2. Gonna be a nasty duo this season.

How will we measure him being better? Still not going to get the bulk of the carries.

In the words of every team's fan that doesn't win a championship the year before.
"Next year"

While he won't be getting the bulk of the carries, he's still going to get his fair share of touches, way more than last year for sure. You could argue that Guice is our 2nd best offensive weapon behind LF. He's too good to not have on the field a good bit. And with he and LFs receiving ability, you can use them on the field at the same time.
Guice should get 12+ offensive touches per game IMO. And that's plenty enough for him to show how good he is.

Spot on.
I can't wait to see this

This my prediction for the year and I've been saying it for a while. LF will still have very good numbers. A minimum of 1400 rushing I'd guess. But that's still a large drop from last year and he won't do as well in Heisman talk due to the "drop in his numbers"
The dropoff won't be that he's not as good but because of a larger role for Guice. I think you'll see them try to take a load off of Fournette in order to keep him fresher for the late season SEC grind as well as to lessen the wear and tear/risk of injury ahead of what should be a high draft pick. To be clear, I don't think the staff or LF are going to baby him for fear of an injury. More of a solid for LF by saying hey were not going to just run you into the ground Derrick Henry style
And it's not a crazy suggestion. Miles has always preferred more of a running back by committee approach while still maintaining 1 clear cut starter.
That rotational ability was less of an option last year with having Fournette, DWilliams and 2 freshman on the depth chart. Fournette is obviously great, Williams is the short yardage guy that Miles likes but lacks the big play threat and Guice was relatively unproven. In 2016, Guice has now proven himself and you've got 2 homerun threats at RB. I believe Guice plays a large role in the offense and could push 800 to 1000 yards himself

I'll say this again. Guice is too good to keep off the field. Id like to see lsu utilize the split back set as their primary formation rather than the "I". Won't happen though.

I think that LSU will have two backs over 1000 yards this year. Les is going to pound it pound it and pound it. I don't blame him this year either. This might be the most talented RB duo ever at LSU.

What really got me was that Tenn's backfield is held in a higher regard than LSU'S by some pundits. Guice is better than Hurd and Kamara. I just dont get it.

Maybe.. JUST Maybe That DOBBS is A WHOLE lot better than Harris is.. PLU Jones will let Dobbs play HIS game... Miles will NEVER let Harris BE that kind of QB...
Think about it.... Just look at how both LSU'S offense and Tenn's offense looked last year...

People aren't talking about it because a lack of a backup RB wasn't really the big glaring issue with out team last year.
The lack of a consistent passing game was.

Might be the best RB duo since the Pony Express. I'd say they're at least as good, if not better than Cadillac Williams/Ronnie Brown 2004.

LSU HAD MORE OFFENSIVE YARDS PER GAME THAN TENN.
LSU HAD MORE OFFENSIVE POINTS PER GAME THAN TENNESSEE.
LSU PLAYED A HARDER SOS THAN TENN
Dont let facts get i the way of you being wrong and shitting on lsu.
Brandon Harris finished the 2015 season with a higher qb rating than DOBBS.
JUNIOR DOBBS 15tds- 5 ints
SOPH- HARRIS 13tds -6 ints

I am NOT shitting on LSU... I WILL say this... IF LSU had Dobbs this year instead of Harris... They may be the greatest team EVER in the history of college football... BUT here is the difference... YOUR BOY MILES, has ZERO clue about how A QB like Harris/ Dobbs works.. Jones AT TENN does.... FACT.............. If you think Harris is a better QB than Dobbs .. YOU are as dumb as A bucket of snot..................

Why do you change the subject after getting proven wromg dumbass?
You said look how the two offenses performed.
Lsu out performes Tenn's offense this year against a tougher schedule. Im sorry your opinion was proven wrong. Sadly its something you should be accustomed to.
A junior dobbs had a sloghtly better year td wise than a sophomore harris.
Harris had the higher qb rating.
I dont care about your opinion on football. Its been proven to be as ignorant as your mother. Facts are what matters momma's boy and your facts are found lacking.
