Trying to get info on UCLA.. Everyone keeps talking about NC/SC IU and Louisville... What about our first game? I know our boys were hot in the Super Regionals.. Regionals (except for that error ridden game) but how good is UCLA? I don't want to look too far down the road and not respect the first game.

They beat a REALLY good Fullerton team in two games at their own place...I'd say they aren't too shabby.

I would defer to dean, even though he is a csf fan.

UCLA is good, and they have just as much recent Omaha experience as anyone in the tourney.

Our side of the bracket is tough, with UNC/USC and UCLA.

Good pitching with starters Plutko and Vander Tuig. great closer in David Berg.

Their hitting is poo. More poo than OU. We win easily if we make no errors or walk a bunch of guys.

typical west coast team. Overrated pitching staff. Not much offense. But yet they will be hyped because they play baseball the right way. Sacrificing, station to station baseball, blah, blah, blah

I've watched them a few times, they grind out their runs like a typical pac 12 team. They play small ball to generate there few runs they score a game.

There ace is good, not as good as Gray though

I was impressed that they swept Cal State

Definitely can't "take them easy"

these "small ball teams" have beaten us in the past

Above average pitching...can't hit the broad side of a barn hitting.

Their hitting stats are pretty bad, but they won against a very solid CSF pitching staff on the road.

CSF beat themselves in the second game. Gave up two runs on 3 errors i think. Pretty much had lights out pitching from their starters and pen to take that sub regional.

We always have trouble with these scrappy, small ball left coast teams

They beat a really good CSF team by scratching a couple runs across on erros and then pitching a shutout. Our lineup will be the best they've seen, but it will probably still be a low scoring game. I think we're better than them at every phase of the game, but I'd be scared if Eades were pitching against them.

UCLA scouting report from baseball America. Done by a rival coach in the PAC 12.

I'm more worried about Eades vs. UNC/USC

One thing I will say about them is if they’re ahead in the sixth inning, the game’s over. The numbers just show that
