Worse, better, or same?

They've been known to hang around in games against sec teams

They don't. But probably a similar game and outcome.

Syracuse is better than Troy. I think people will say Troy played Boise St. close in the first game but this isn't Boise of old this year. We will win but it most likely will be a close game throughout.

The fact that this question even entered someone's brain shows exactly where the program is at.

I just hope Troy doesn't have a Demarcus Ware type DE this year.

a bigger, stronger, faster version of UTC

used to be a big transfer/JC school, not sure if that's the case any longer, a lot of talent in S Alabama, SW Georgia, FL Panhandle

If we're being totally honest and objective, LSU was lucky to pull that one out against Syracuse. They played harder and looked more prepared.

And yes, that shows exactly where we stand as a program.

Our team was dog shite that year. Not saying we’re all that great now but I wouldn’t definitively say that team was better.

I think Syracuse QB (Dungey) is a little better, and more agile than Troy's Silvers.

The "x" factor in this game is the uniform choice. LSU, while wearing purple shirts w/ gold pants and headgear, hasn't historically played very well. There seems to be some kind of funny mojo attached to that combination. Purple jerseys w/ white pants and helmets might be the better option. A loss to Troy this year would be as embarrassing as the UAB loss way back when.

if they don't drop that wide open pass in the end zone, I think the game comes down to the final play. They had to punt the ball back to us after that. It was a reverse pick-6 in our favor

This isnt a good Troy team. I expect a 38-17 type of win. They have struggled throwing the football which is their bread and butter on offense, hence the low scoring games.

Defense has been solid.
