It’s noon and he has given up the worst defensive performance in sec history. Yet, he’s still tied as the highest paid defensive coordinator in NCAA.

He’s going to finish out the season.

While I don’t disagree, who takes his place right now?

Good point though. Why not fire him and let an assistant try and win the job?

Kelly threw the players under the bus last night. Not a good sign

The problem is our defensive staff is full of losers and BK can’t take over d.

I guess we could fire him and move up someone from our support staff. Except Kelly cut some of that back.

What difference does it make? It cannot get any worse than what we saw last night. At least send the message that this bs will not be tolerated. But Kelly won’t do it.

Jancek actually has more experience as a DC than House.

That he did. He said this is what we have and no one else is going to be walking through the door. Ominous.

There is no way you can let him go now. There has to be some kind of continuity at least until the season is over. Once the season is over I 100% think that BK will make a change.

The thing that stuck out was his total omission of House when passing out blame. The guy isn’t a college DC but I’m not sure he’s in any danger of being fired.

Deeply concerned that House wanted to leave last year because he hates recruiting but Kelly begged him to come back.

Other coaches are certainly using Steeples as a negative recruiting tool.

A lot of it is on the players. Players not tackling when they have their hands on a player isn't on the coaches. It has to be maddening calling man and 1 player just stays in zone. That's on a player.

Yeah, even if Baylor fires Aranda midseason he's not going to want to jump right back in. Nobody currently on staff looks very appealing and I can't imagine who would be willing to step into this shite circus on an interim basis. Having a great offense to rely on helps a little but a turnaround drastic enough to win the permanent gig seems a longshot.

Do we know for sure? From tackling fundamentals to angles to even lining up correctly we’re bad so is that on 15-20 something kids or the coaches? As far as the switching D with LBs and safeties passing guys off to each other, especially against the hurry up style offenses, that’s way too much to ask from college kids. You’re not going to find many if any top defenses doing that in college.
