If he resigned now, at least he'd give us a good shot at a good replacement.

I know he won't, but it'd be nice.

I don't see what the difference is between looking for a coach now or looking for a coach in late November. The only guys LSU supposedly wants will still be playing meaningful games so there is no need to rush it.

You can not be so fooking stupid to believe that college football coaches, at any colleges only work 6 months a year.

Of course they dont but they sure as hell have a lot more workplace freedom than you or I dont they?

No, but there isn't a poster on this board that would resign with that money on the table. It's a moot point.
Really? Why not? He's an "elite" coach, right? A top school will snatch him right up and pay him even more, right?

Maybe Miles isnt a quiter and doesnt want to leave the team when the gling got tough. Did you see how much the media destroyed Spurrier for doing what youre suggesting miles to do?

First, Im not the OP so I didnt "suggest" anything. Im refuting the many people across the many threads recently that are stating that "NO ONE" would walk away from the money that Miles is/should get for getting cancelled/retiring.

I agree with you that hes a competitive guy and that he thinks hes doing right by the players(maybe, or maybe hes a really slick huckster that has been playing us all for fools. He IS a former offensive linemen, they are supposed to be the smartest position group in all of football) but how dense(or ignorant) do you have to be to not see that you dont have what it takes anymore to keep up with the competition and thus are hurting your team, not helping them?

You people are insufferable.

Miles is required by the terms of his buyout to make a good faith effort to find employment, as are most coaches with similar buyout clauses. Only on the Tiger Rant can you find people who would waive their rights to $11MM that they're rightfully owed.

The first one was a little more obvious. The second comment has been said ad nauseam today though, so it didn't register as a troll.

When you surround yourself with people who tell you your awesome (yes men) and have no accountability from your supervisors you get LSU Athletics. Everything else is just a smoke screen, diversionary tactic to focus on BS and "hype". We have been had and it will cost us a lot of money. Hopefully we learn from this fiasco.

You should look at the election history, and political system across this whole shameless country. We are all being screwed. And have been getting screwed forever. My point? We are a country of fools. Black versus white, rich versus poor, liberal versus conservative, etc. they have us right where they want are.

I am not insane. I am pissed that I will probably be shamed if I attempt to bring my "I Love Les" poster to the Jackson State game this weekend. I spent so much time getting the glitter and the font just right for TV. With all this negativity on the Rant, and the National media about LSU Football I will probably leave my poster at home. Everyone and their mother on ESPN and the SEC network don't know what the hell they are talking about. I heart Les.

I've said this is his last season.

Sorry I don't want to participate in the classless trashy hate fest. Some of you seriously have issues that a football team winning games will not solve. It's pretty embarrassing.
