I've seen this posted several times and don't understand it. It seems we need this game just as much as Florida but only time will tell.

He plays the player safety card and that BR needs the revenue a home game brings to a flood ravaged city.

He simply says no...

Oh what a glorious scenario if LSU and UF run the tables and UT drops a game. That forces the SEC to make some very tough decisions and we refuse to cooperate in any way.

If they (SEC) make us give up that USA home game they had better pay us big time for it

We aren't making playoffs we don't need to make SEC Champ game. If they dont fix this in October. Then the only solution is us canceling a game we don't have to do that.

They can't make us do anything. If we don't agree it doesn't happen.

The folks of ravaged Baton Rouge thank you for your New Jersey opinion of removing millions of dollars in commerce from their city.

NJ gets $.50 back on a dollar of fed tax. Louisiana gets $1.20. Thanks wasn't expected, but it is appreciated.

That said in no way do I think we should give up the home game. Maybe if they move championship game to New Orleans among other concessions it could male sense for Louisiana.

No he doesn't. Sankey can't do anything about it. Alleva has to approve it.

I understand Florida hosted recruits today and that makes them look really bad but in grand scheme of things does it really mean anything? LSU got screwed and I don't think there will be anything they can do about it.

He can cancel a non-conference game?

The dude couldn't even get a game to be played. How do you think he's gonna get one canceled?

I hope that Alleva and the rest of the people in the LSU athletic administration don't share your "we got screwed and there's nothing we can do about it" view of the situation. I seriously doubt that Sankey can force us to give up a home game that generates millions of dollars in revenue. If I were Joe Alleva and LSU, the absolute last thing I'd do is anything that would help out Sankey or UF. We get pushed around way too much as it is. It's time we stood our ground and look out for our own interests. Foley and Sankey made this mess. Why is it our responsibility to help them fix it?

I understand what you're saying but I believe not playing the game will hurt LSU more than it would Florida. Its a shitty situation to be in but happens if we win out and miss the seccg andpossibly nc game because we played 1 fewer games than Bama or a&in? Then we're just shite out of luck.

What do you think the ramifications of this would be? Just curious. PR wise. With the media and public opinion.

Florida is hiding behind a hurricane and "safety". What can we hide behind to save us? Or are you guys just ready for program suicide? I'm being honest. Serious question.

15 million impact to local area already hurting from the flood. Alleva can easily and simply say I can't do it because of my responsibility to the State.

That's good, but my response was to someone who said that we should not cooperate in any way. If we could still get the home game, this is a non issue.

Right, LSU will lose their football program if they don't puss out and agree to play 3 conference road games in 12 days while also forfeiting millions in revenue for the school and city. The only way LSU is in a disadvantage in this situation is if they allow themselves to be. It's time to stop caring what the media says and public opinion and do what's best for LSU. That's what led them to keep a lame duck Miles for 4 extra games and ruin the season this year. When Alabama wanted to hire Nick Saban they got plenty of bad publicity because of Saban lying about staying at Miami. Did Alabama care? Nope, they did what was best for them and it paid off. LSU needs to do the same.
