Their pitchers were amazing.

This is what I heard.

I'm getting kind of tired of maineri not recruiting good hitters.

I think the problem is Sanchez.

Wasn't he the one that was saying the pitching needed to get better?

It would seem to be a pretty shitty loss.

Great day of sports today.

Everyone knew hits and runs would be scarce with this team. A weak hitting team coupled with a less than average game coach could make for a long season.

I know this is a disappointing loss for LSU but the pitcher that got the win is legit. Although the Southern Conference is very much middle of the road (#15 of 32 conferences in the RPI last year), Arrowood is an all-conference player who went 8-3 with a 2.96 ERA last season. He is our best pitcher by far and he had all three pitches working today. Y'all have a ton of talent and I don't think one early season loss indicates a bad season coming. Sometimes you just run into a hot pitcher.

josh, you aren't the least bit concerned about our lack of consistent hitting so far this season with the last 2 seasons still on your mind?

Iim not concerned about the first loss of the season in a nonconference game when we have hit well in all the others, no. The only thing we really did wrong today was playing sciambra over jacoby

While I agree, not doing things wrong isn't going to get this team where we need to be. We need to do things right and besides Eades pitching a hell of a game, we didn't do much right. More specifically, Hanover was really the only player who did anything right at the plate.

what concerns me is that we just don't seem like we've had very many talented hitters since the 09 team and I'm not sure how good these guys are just yet. Its early still though...

Yes, but we're gonna need more than just Hanover this year.

K, can't read off of this outstanding post - my view of it - LSU should never/ever lose to anyone in baseball, football, basketball, track -- umm I took a little blue pill and I was getting ready to say gymnasty - then DD Breaux came into my mind - bye.

Is it too much to ask that PM be a good enough Mgr that he can overcome a not so quality batting coach....

If weekend games continue to draw crowds like we've been seeing , esp yesterday then PM is done. It's the $$ boys not the tourney
