Yeah unless someone wants to give me good seats and fly me there, I like to watch games like this at home with the remote in one hand and a drink in the other. I am also thankful for dvr. I need to pause and leave the room sometimes to calm down.

I guess I just look at football as more fun to do socially and can't imagine wanting to watch a big game like this alone.
What? not secure to watch alone?

The frick does that even mean?
Are you implying I'm insecure because I don't watch the game by myself?

will be watching about 5 feet from the tv all by myself.
Same here except I'm looking at the game stats on computer during commercial breaks.

Alone is for the best, but if not, then most surely with those who will be more understanding of my lunacy.

Same here. I watch by myself or with my family. The only way I watch our games in public is if I'm at the game. Home or away. I don't watch at bars or friends houses.
I work offshore so when gametime rolls around I get up from the desk and go watch in my room.... alone.

I just agreed to watch this one with my dad though and he is a major nega tiger.
I think everyone's dad is a nega tiger.
I know mine is. My favorite is when I call him after a trademark Les win and he's at a loss for words.

i watch this one alone in the dark, with a kolonopin waiting on the dresser once it's over.

I watch with my son who plays OL/DL for his school.
He will be excited, and full of nervous energy and will be in and out of the room if it's close or LSU falls behind early.
Reminds me of me when I was younger, I would get so nervous at critical times of an important game, esp.Bama, I couldn't watch, and I would step outside to follow the game as all my neighbors would be watching, if I heard my neighborhood erupt cheering I knew something good happened.
Now I can sit down and watch, but my son will do the pacing.
My hubby tries to joke around too much during a game, that's ok for a lower tier game but an important game especially Bama, I just find it too irritating.
When my dad was alive, he would usually want to watch by himself at his house but we would talk on the phone before, during and after an important game.
Always at halftime either he would call me or I would call him, we would spend a lot of time on the phone when an important game was on, football and baseball.
He's been gone for a few years now, but sometimes I still have to stop myself from picking up the phone to call him.

Can't watch a big game like this in public.
Posted on 11/2/15 at 7:39 pm to AZTiger7072
Big games like this one, usually alone, though I went 180 degrees the other way in 2011 and was in that number in Champions Square.
There's something about giving a big game like this your full and undivided attention. I like for it to be a totally immersive experience, literally doing nothing but focusing on the game. Every so often I'll hit the Gameday Board during commercials, just to see who is freaking out over what.

Tradition here is to have family drive up from BR cook and drink all afternoon.

I like to record big games like this and watch them again when Im not so nervous. I always see a different game. That is especially true if I've watched the game live in Tiger Stadium. We always look better on the replay than we did live in my tension-filled mind.

The only sec game I watched with other people recently was Florida last year. If we had been undefeated, I would have stayed home though. I can also watch LSU bowl games in a group but not championship games.
I watched 2003 with my mom, but she didn't bother me apart from offering food from time to time.

I can't watch games alone, who do I share my joy or pain with? I like watching them in bars

Gonna get shitfaced and watch with my typical LSU buddies. Will try to keep thw buzz during the game unless the score gets out of hand then I'm going all the way with it. My nerves are too bad to watch this sober.

Have you actually read what some of these people are saying? Can't watch the game live because they'll get too emotional, they need no distractions, etc. You have to admit that sounds just a little crazy, right?
