So they each should have had 2,000 yards last year or what? What more should they have accomplished?

Oh, you're definitely trolling. Nevermind.

I can't speak for everyone but I'm tired of Alabama being the talk of the country. With the talent that comes through LSU there is no reason why my boys shouldn't be mentioned as the best program in the SEC.

Compared to past LSU teams yes. We were efficient, but those adjectives make it seem as if it was other worldly, which it was not at times. Plenty of more efficient offenses around the country last season.

Lsu led the nation in third down efficiency last year moron

Why are so many lsu fans so goddamn stupid?

I feel like you will start devaluing my degree.

Maybe 1500 yards? I mean, they should have been fed the rock as many times as possible. You also could argue they were severely underutilized in the season before last year where our offense ranked in the bottom half of CFB.

We were 2nd in the country in yards per pass attempt, 1st in 3rd down efficiency, Hill and Magee were both in the top 10 nationally in YPC.

That offense was incredibly efficient by any measure. I hate this year's offense as much as anyone, but that shouldn't permit the rampant revisionist history that's going on around here.

Odell won a national award last year how could you argue he should've been more productive?

And they advanced due to a hail mary and 110 yard special teams TD.

Lets not act like they were world beaters. They were very, very fortunate/lucky to not have our record

Perhaps some that make the decision to leave early have the same question.

2013 team: lost a ton of defensive guys early to the NFL, and the defense struggled.

2014 team: lost a ton of offensive guys early to the NFL, and we still suck on offense.

Which one? Landry, Beckham, Hill, or Blue? There is only 1 football

I don't think anyone would disagree.

We made a change in OCs for that reason

all that shows is that we had talented clutch players who made big plays but it didn't result in points on the board. Everyone knows we had great players in last years offense. No one could argue against that.

Another way to look at the situation--Landry and OBJ did not leave early--their draft stock would have gone down. LSU's quarterback can almost not complete a forward pass. He is the lowest rated NCAA QB.

It shows that we were excellent at converting third downs which is absolutely essential to a successful offense. There were a number of stats that have been posted to indicate our offense was extremely successful, efficient and, at times, explosive last year.

I don't even know what people are trying to argue anymore. We had great playmakers last year and used them well on the way to having probably the best offense in LSU history. Why are people trying to claim otherwise?

Because thats the only stat that matters? Are you just going to bypass all the other stats now?

Still 56th in red zone offense with high disproportion of our conversions being rushing TD's (26-11 Rush/TD ratio). Still ran the ball a lot more than passed. Could have been more explosive.
