How in the hell did that pos get hired here after what he done at duke. He was laughing stock of the nation before he even came here.

Always baffled me. He wouldn't have lasted more than a couple of more years at Duke even with his strong hire of Cutcliffe.
At the time LSU hired him, his single biggest attribute was staying out of Coach K's way and making a good women's basketball hire in the 90s.
He had made previous terrible hires in football and baseball (his supposed specialty) and that's not even getting into the lacrosse issue. He also had an embarrassing boating accident where his son got a DWI and he was a passenger.
People know about lacrosse but his baseball work was beyond embarrassing. He hired a Redneck with a losing record at Greensboro to run the Duke program. Not surprisingly he lost a ton of games and the team had the worst APR of any Duke roster by 80 points.
