assume these guys would rather be with us

I mean, they are 27 outs from Omaha and we couldn't win our own home regional as a national seed. I'm sure they are fine where they are.

They've been the best hitting team in the country for a few years. Whatever they're doing or type of players they're getting is working.
Don't see many slap hitting 200BA guys starting for them so it must be a lucky year.

Really? Have they won a national title? They are beating teams we beat as well. It's called hiring a real hitting coach.

Currently the cajuns are recruiting a very specific type of player. They know the skill sets that want that fit their system and go recruit it. I feel like lsu just recruits best prospect available instead of recruiting to specific style of play. We have normally been successful with the tweeners and the pissed off walk on types who develop on campus with a chip on the shoulder. When we were nationally ranked and a two seed at a&m in 2007 we had 5 walk ons in starting lineup. In 05 when we were the two seed at Tulane our ace was a walkon as was the catcher, 3rd baseman, left fielder and dh and top two relievers. Robe and crew do a great job of developing guys on campus. Guys that are pissed that they were overlooked and play like that

Read the article on Sports Nola about...LSU Dealing with College Baseballs "New Normal".... Down near the bottom of article he explains......
Both ULL's top 2 pitchers were at LSU before having off field issues and transferring. One went to Miami then ULL the other went to Delgado then ULL, I believe.

The 2 guys pitching tomorrow were both at LSU. Christian and Baranik.

You may be right. One has to ask the question why Stevenson plays summer ball and comes back and becomes the leading hitter, after batting .191 the year before. Seems some coach noticed a problem and helped him make corrections. He has looked like a totally different hitter this year.Bergman had to talk to his high school coach who looked at game film and made suggestions to him that apparently made a difference.

I enjoy watching ULL win, but I would rather it be LSU. The commentator last night gave kudos to ULL for keeping the instate talent. This represents UL very well. The guys west of Baton Rouge are local guys and I hope they win it all, it speaks volume for the state. PM should take a queue and start following suit.
