How did LSU defend Johnny Manziel differently then Bamber?

I've seen it referenced several times that Lil Nicky was too arrogant to follow the blueprint LSU gave him for keeping Manziel in check, but I don't what the difference was. I know LSU switched to a 3-4, but that's Bambers' base defense. What did Bamber fail to do?

TIA and IAP IDGAF.

Bama failed to have the talent and speed LSU has from their DLine

Speed on d line, plus they pretty much contained him after the 1st qtr but the damage was done

Both LSU and UF contained him, forced him to throw downfield.

Bama is bigger and more physical than LSU but LSU is faster and more athletic on defense.

At the beginning of the game. 3-2-6 for the remainder.

Yep. And we brought pressure from every which way.

I thought it was a version of a 3 3 5 defense where the ends rolled in to contain Manziel, rather than going for a sack.

Yep 3/2/6 with Eugene in the box alot of the time, plus our DEs are way faster than bama's

LSU took advantage of his bad passes. 0 INTs vs Bama, 3 vs LSU.

The only differences imo was LSU was able to adjust a drive sooner and Manziel made some incredible on the money throws against Bama.

Well, one slant hit a receiver in the chest and went straight in the air. So probably not all of them.

Played a 3-2-6 but Eugene was basically playing OLB spying and limiting manziel's scrambling

Some, but he missed some wide open receivers down field.

LSU has an elite pass rush. Bama, not so much.
