How can you award 2 bases for the overturned call?

Theres no way of knowing what would have happened. Maybe breaux gets up and makes the throw of his life. Maybe buddy trips and falls on his way to 2nd. Seems like you should only award 1 base as it was for sure at least a hit, but nothing after that is predictable

Might have been on 3rd with his speed. It was the right call.

Most likely, yes. But you still can't say definitively that would have happened

Well they award ground rule doubles all the time.

I just can't believe they make that call in that situation.

Who truly knows where the ball would have landed. The boot did not help.

Ball rolled all the way to fence and idiot didn't even run to get it. Reed's standing on 2 or possibly 3rd!!

Ok, in football is it now common sense when a running back is in the clear, but some doofus official accidentally blows it dead?

It does not matter where it would have landed. It's where it was first touched. It could be absolutely, positively, 100% going to land foul, but if it is touched fair, it is a fair ball.
