Because the writer for the AP has probably watched Les Miles offense and has said for this year after you separate the hype "I will believe it when I see it"

I don't really care where LSU is in the polls going in. LSU must prove it belongs in elite poll spots based on last years collapse.

Nah. Every time I read that LSU's problem is just QB play, I realize they don't know anything. It's extremely lazy and shows they don't do any research.
