Maybe the players like the beach. The Baton Rouge beach is a bit small.

You’re crazy if you think these teams don’t have better rosters than LSU.

Nah, the talent on that floor is much better than ours. Although I agree that coaching plays a big part also.

You really want to go there? Go compare the class that came to LSU last year and number 18 and what was already there. LSU should be a top 15 program with what they had this year. You don’t have to look any further than Kim, Mulkey, and what she’s done in a woman’s game. It is about coaching, always about coaching.

Did you get a player to shoot better? Coaching is about the number of reps in a number of shots that the players taking. Or putting them in a position to take better shots. Or how about rebounding? Or defensive player? All of that is about coaching. You take the talent you have, and make it better with the offense and defense that you design for the talent.

Because Will Wade couldn’t keep his mouth shut and make strong arse offers without putting his foot in his mouth.

San Diego State became a force nearly 20 years ago when Steve Fisher became their coach. He won a national championship at Michigan. There's never been an NCAA Tournament winning men's basketball coach at LSU. Fisher eventually retired in his 70s, but clearly has a legacy to this team. Will it last ten years from now? It's hard to know, but what they've done in this tournament certainly doesn't hurt.

Good Lord! Are you really kidding me with this crap? You’re referencing 20 years ago when there was no transfer portal and there was no NIL, and all the other things that LSU has in place that brought the talent that they had to this team. Steve Fisher, my arse. Winning culture my arse. LSU was in the fricking final four in 2006 you turd. LSU went to many many tournaments in the 80s and early 90s. LSU was one of the most dominant basketball programs in the country for a 20 year stretch.

Steve Fisher! What the hell

Notimpressed with either team today. they must be good or they wouldn't be in final four, but I have only watched the last 10 minutes and neither can make a FT or layup. But, you are right, they could be playing for LSU and we could certainly use their athleticism.

Your gripe is about LSU’s coaching and that’s an entirely different argument. All 4 teams playing this weekend have better players and more complete rosters than what LSU had. You’re a blind homer if you think otherwise. Don’t give me player rankings either. Watch the game and it’s obvious.

Well, SDSU has been better than LSU for at least the last 15 years and they are in SD not the ghetto of BR

I’ve said this time and time again, and I think it’s a common misconception among some. Development and experience is leaps and bounds more important than recruiting.

San Diego St had seven guys play 700+ minutes this year. Three 5th year guys, one Senior, and three Juniors. FAU had four Juniors, two Seniors, and two 5th year guys.

Kansas had 5 guys over 700 minutes last year, four Seniors and one Junior. Baylor the year before their top six guys had three 5 year guys, two Seniors, and one Junior.

And the thing they have in common? The heavy majorotuy of them did not come out as super highly rated recruits. The six guys Kansas played last season were #89. Baylor was #122 and that’s with one of their starters not even being ranked coming out of high school.

Obviously you can’t get ran over on the recruiting trail, but if you can bring in solid players and then get them to stick around and develop them, you’ll be just fine.

Their rankings were not better on those rosters than LSU. It is the responsibility of the COACH TO get the most out of that talent. To maximize their potential. Shooting drills? How about putting them in a better position to improve?

2020 class rank 81
2021 class rank 102

In 2022 SD ST had the 70th ranked class. Two of the guys played 20 and 29 minutes in the game today. Trammel being one.

LeDee didn’t even play last season as he had transferred twice before getting there which I’m guessing meant he sat out a year.
